Two sisters from the Wyndhaven subdivision litter went to their new home together today! ❤️

These feral kittens have been vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and spayed. With their recovery complete, they’re ready for their next chapter on a farm with other animals and children, where they’ll help keep rodents in check.

Thank you to their adopters for giving these girls a home together, and to everyone who welcomes spayed and neutered feral or semi feral barn cats. They deserve daily food, fresh water, warm shelter and ongoing care, even if cuddles aren’t their thing.

Giving them a suitable home also opens space for the next cats needing help. 🐾

Meet Boots! We love this sweet kitten so much. 🥰🐾

Boots was rescued from Wyndhaven Subdivision, where she and her four siblings were born outdoors with very little human interaction. While her siblings remained wary of people, Boots began showing us she wanted to be close.

She is one of the sweetest kittens we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Playful, loving, and full of charm. ❤️

Boots needs a quiet home without young children, with a predictable routine and people who will give her time to settle in. Loud sounds and sudden movements still make her nervous. With patience and a calm environment, she can feel safe and let her lovely personality shine.

She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and deworming, and ready to find her home.

Happy Thanksgiving from Peakside Animal Rescue! 🍂🐾

This Thanksgiving, I’m feeling grateful for the support, kindness, and opportunities that have helped Peakside grow. Every donation, helping hand, shared post, and word of encouragement helps me keep going and makes a difference for the animals.

Thank you to everyone who spays and neuters their pets, helping prevent unwanted litters and reduce the number of animals needing homes. And thank you to everyone who chooses to adopt, you’re giving an animal a chance to be safe, loved, and part of a family.

I’m thankful for the people who care, the rescues and organizations who work alongside me, and this community that continues to show up for animals in need.

Taki and Kesha are at Clearwater Bosley's this weekend. They're spayed females, 6 months old, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and deworming. Adoption fee $250.

Kesha - Solid black. Very much a love. Good with cats and gets used to dogs. An older child home recommended.

Taki - Shy but lovely. She likes to be pet on her terms. She's an excellent little mouse too.

Help! We need dry cat food!

We are in need of dry cat food. If you can donate some dry cat food kibble we would be so greatful. We have an increase in people needing a bit of help to feed their cats and some people who are helping feed feral cats. Please donate to Peakside at Bosley's or drop-off at my place.

It was an honour to speak with the Girl Guides in Clearwater about animals, animal rescue, and why it’s so important to help animals in need and care for them properly.

Animals depend on us for kindness, safety, and care. Being able to share that message with young people means so much to me. The girls also created this lovely “Colouring for Critters” colouring book to help raise funds for the Clearwater Humane Society, now Peakside. Seeing them put their time and creativity into helping animals is truly heartwarming. I’ll be getting copies made, and they’ll be available to purchase by donation! It’s a wonderful way to support their thoughtful work and help animals in need.

Thank you to the Girl Guides and their leaders for welcoming me and supporting this work. You’re showing that you don’t have to be grown up to make a difference.

Blue is on a camping trip! ❤️ It makes me so happy to see how well he’s doing.

He loves playing with dogs big and small, and his personality is really starting to shine. He’s such a character! I’ll share a video in the comments below. He’s making great progress with house training and showing a real willingness to learn. He’s gaining weight and loves being warm and comfortable inside with everyone. Loud noises still startle him, but little by little, he’s learning that he’s safe. Seeing him relax, play and enjoy life after everything he’s been through means so much.

We’re all cheering you on, Blue! ❤️🐾
