A sensitive topic alert. Loosing our beloved pets💔🌈

We have received messages from time to asking if we know of services to help with beloved pets who have passed away. We have done some research and have found some resources now to help with livestock and in home pets. Should you find yourself needing help please reach out, we have a few contacts now.

If you have sent inquiries or requests about this dog adoption, please note that YOU WILL NOT be put on any list to be notified. No one will be contacted or kept track of or responded to unless you are inquiring about possible ownership.

We are not trying to be rude or not caring. We are very small and simply and do not have the resources to track every single person interested. Our priorities are caring for the animals and providing care for our community.
Should no ownership be found, a bio will be posted and adoption will be open. AT THAT TIME ONLY, we will then be able to have any who have expressed interest send us their email to have an application form sent to apply for adoption. Applications are based on the best fit for the animals, not first come, first serve.

We can not thank you all enough for caring and wanting to give this little one a safe home.

These 4 kittens were being handed out for free while sitting in a truck in the heat, exposed to secondhand smoke for hours in a parking lot.

Thankfully, a kind person stepped in and brought them to safety.

They are now safe in our care and will receive proper food, rest, veterinary care, and monitoring before becoming available for adoption.

We understand people may have been trying to help, but young animals are extremely vulnerable to heat, stress, smoke exposure, illness, and unsafe placement when given away this way.

Once they are fully vetted, healthy, and ready.

We will post adoption information publicly once they are ready.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support responsible rescue and animal welfare in our community. 🩷

At this time, Clearwater Humane Society will not be responding to messages regarding dogs or cats currently in our care that are not yet available for adoption.

As a small volunteer-run organization with very limited time and resources, our priority must remain focused on the direct care, safety, medical needs, and placement process of the animals entrusted to us. Responding to large volumes of inquiries about unavailable animals takes valuable time away from emergency response, rescue efforts, and daily care.

When lost or stray animals come into our care, we make every effort possible to locate and reunite them with their rightful owners before any consideration of adoption takes place. This process can take time and requires us to exhaust all appropriate avenues first.

We also understand that not everyone in a rural community uses Facebook or social media. Our volunteers have deep roots in this area, with knowledge of local families, properties, and community connections built over more than 35+ years. When lost or stray animals come into our care, we work hard both online and offline to exhaust all possible avenues to locate and reunite animals with their rightful owners before any consideration of adoption takes place.

If and when an animal becomes available for adoption, we will make a public post and will respond to adoption inquiries at that time.

We truly appreciate the compassion, patience, and understanding of our community. Your continued support allows us to keep helping animals in need despite operating with very limited resources.
