💎 Frank ate 3.5 lb of Rocks... and lived to wag about it🪨 🐾

Meet Frank, our 1.9 year old black Lab who had tried every snack the world had to offer. Kibble? Boring. Treats? Meh.... Rocks?! Now that was a gourmet experience 🍽️

Frank came to see us after several rounds of vomiting, and his family suspected he'd been snacking on rocks.
We took X-rays to see what was going on inside, and .... well, swipe and see for yourself 👀 🩻 Every bright white blob is a rock. Frank had turned his stomach into a gravel pit! 🪨 🛘
That many rocks put him at a serious risk of a gastrointestinal obstruction, which can be life threatening. Frank went straight into urgent surgery (exploratory laparotomy and gastrotomy) and his 3.5lb pebble stash was safely confiscated.

We're happy to report that Frank recovered smoothly.🐶❤️ He is now home, wagging, and choosing much better snacks 🦴

💡Pro tip from our team: If your pet is vomiting, not eating, lethargic, or may have eaten something they shouldn't have, seek veterinary care right away! Acting early can make a big difference.
