The purpose of the society is:

- To represent homeless cats and kittens i

n the area by providing them with a permanent haven;

- To end, where possible, the suffering of these animals by providing medical treatment, shelter, food, rescue, companionship, and new homes by adoption;

- To reduce the number of cats and kittens at risk through education and the promotion of a spay/neuter program in the community; and

- To work with veterinarians and liaise with other societies on issues that will affect animal care.

When people hear the word "philanthropy," they often think of large donations.

But here at the Haven, we see philanthropy a little differently.

🩵It's the volunteer who spends their afternoon cleaning kennels.
🩵It's the foster who says "yes" to one more cat.
🩵It's the supporter who shares a post.
🩵It's the person who drops off a bag of food.
🩵It's the family who chooses adoption.
🩵It's the student who spends their day helping the cats.
🩵It's every act of kindness, big or small.

Because rescue isn't powered by one person.

✨It's powered by a community.✨

✨A community that chooses compassion.
✨A community that believes every cat deserves a chance.
✨A community that continues to show up, even when the work is hard.

Today, we just want to say thank you.

Toodles, Loki, and Tabitha have all found their furr-ever homes 💛

These three wonderful cats have each headed off to start their own new adventures with families who fell in love with them.

We couldn't be happier for Toodles, Loki and Tabitha as they begin this exciting new chapter filled with cozy beds, sunny windows, and plenty of love. Congratulations, sweet kitties! 🐾✨

Hi hiiii… I’m Casper 🐾

Yes, that Casper.
The friendly one.
Not the ghost kind though. Well... mostly not.

I do have a habit of appearing beside you without warning.
One minute you're alone.
The next minute...

✨ Casper has appeared. ✨

Usually because I heard you might have pets.
Or snacks.
Or because I simply felt it was time to be admired.

I’m 12 years young and have spent years perfecting the art of being an oversized fluffy sweetheart.

Some people say I look like a cloud.
Some say I look like a marshmallow.

Honestly? I accept all of these compliments.

I absolutely LOVE attention.

In fact, if you're petting me and stop too soon, I'll stare at you with my big handsome face like:

"Excuse me... I was being adored."

When I'm happy, I have a deep, rumbly purr that sounds like a tiny engine. You'll feel it before you hear it.

I'm also very vocal. I love to talk to my people and tell you all about my day.

I get along with other cats, I love people, and I'm wonderful with kids. Honestly, I'm just a big soft boy who wants to be included in whatever you're doing.

Watching TV?
I'm in.

Reading a book?
I'm helping.

Making the bed?
Excellent. I've been meaning to supervise that.

At 12 years old, I've learned what's important:

Food.
Love.
Naps.

And making sure nobody in the house goes more than 15 minutes without appreciating how handsome I am.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and the amazing team at Kelly O'Bryan's, today's 50/50 fundraiser raised almost $400 for the cats! 🎉

Every dollar raised helps provide food, medical care, shelter, and second chances to the cats who depend on us.

A huge shout out to Kelly O'Bryan's for hosting this fundraiser and supporting local rescue. Community partnerships like this truly make a difference, and we're so grateful for businesses that choose to give back. 💛

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, purchased tickets, shared the event, and cheered us on. Rescue is a community effort, and today was another reminder of how lucky we are to have such amazing people behind us.

Today, Kelly O'Bryan's is hosting a 50/50 draw in support of the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven!

🎉 The draw takes place at 4:00 PM
