As this week comes to an end, we would like to share some of behind the scenes photos. As each of our staff's goal is genuinely to ensure each patient that comes through the door is happy, healthy, and safe. From monitoring anesthesia to ensuring smooth recoveries, our techs are essential part of everything we do! šŸ©ŗšŸ¶šŸ±

ā¤ļø The Story of Athena: A Brave Heart, a Strong Fighter! šŸ¾

When 11-year-old Athena came to Thames Valley Animal Hospital, she had been losing weight and refusing to eat. Further examination and radiographs revealed a challenging situation: a large mammary tumour and a large mass in her abdomen.

Her family was faced with some difficult decisions. We discussed the available options, including referral to a specialist and, most importantly, Athenaā€™s quality of life. After carefully considering the options, her family placed their trust in our team and chose to proceed with surgery.

Using our new electrosurgical unit, we were able to remove the masses with minimal bleeding. Athena proved just how strong and resilient she was, making it through the surgery and beginning her recovery.

ā¤ļø Now, almost a month after surgery, Athena is doing well and continuing to show us her fighting spirit!

This past weekend, our team successfully removed a ribbon from a catā€™s stomach using this advanced, minimally invasive technique. Thanks to prompt intervention and the precision of endoscopy, the procedure was smooth and stress-free for the patient.
