🐶 They still act like a puppy. That’s exactly why we look deeper. 💛

Your dog may still race to the door, get excited for their favourite toy, and act just like they always have—but changes associated with aging can begin before there are obvious signs at home.

An Early Detection Exam gives us an opportunity to look beyond what we can see through a comprehensive wellness assessment and a conversation about any changes you may have noticed as your dog gets older.

Every dog ages differently, and depending on their breed and size, some dogs may benefit from senior wellness care as early as 5–6 years of age. Our veterinary team can help you determine when it's time to start thinking about senior care for your dog.

By establishing health baselines and identifying concerns earlier, we can help support more healthy, comfortable years together. 🐾

📅 Contact your CK Vets clinic to book an Early Detection Exam today.

😎🐾 Looking cool while feeling better!

Did you know that CK Vets offers laser therapy as an additional treatment option for a variety of conditions?

Therapeutic laser uses light energy to help reduce pain and inflammation and support the body's natural healing process. It may be recommended for pets recovering from injuries or surgery, managing arthritis and other painful conditions, or dealing with certain wounds and soft tissue injuries.

Treatments are non-invasive, and many pets are happy to relax during their session—although the protective eyewear might make them look a little more serious about it! 😎

Every pet's needs are different, so our veterinary team can help determine whether laser therapy may be a beneficial addition to your pet's treatment plan.

🐶🐱 Ask your CK Vets team about therapeutic laser at your pet's next appointment!

✨ Old is gold! ✨
There’s something extra special about the bond we share with our senior cats. 🐱💛 As they get older, you may notice them slowing down, becoming less active, or having a little more difficulty getting around—but getting older doesn’t mean they can’t continue to enjoy a happy, comfortable life.
A few simple changes can help your senior cat thrive throughout their golden years:
🩺 Keep up with wellness visits every 6 months
🥣 Adjust their diet to meet their changing needs
🧶 Encourage gentle play and regular movement
🛏️ Give them soft, supportive places to rest
👀 Pay attention to changes in behaviour, activity, or mobility
Regular wellness care and early detection can help us recognize changes sooner and support your cat as their needs evolve with age.
📅 Contact your CK Vets clinic to schedule a Senior Wellness Early Detection Visit today!
