Team Spotlight: Dr. Profit
Today we’re celebrating someone who wears many hats — and somehow looks fabulous in all of them — Dr. Mila Profit!
Born and raised right here on beautiful PEI, Dr. Profit comes from a big, close-knit family and graduated from AVC in 2017.
Believe it or not, she once dreamed of becoming a pig or a cow vet - but we're very glad she changed her mind, because now she pours her heart into caring for dogs and cats with unmatched dedication.
Dr. Profit is especially passionate about ultrasound — not just as a skill, but as a way to truly help animals. She’s known for her incredible ability to spot the smallest details and uncover what’s going on inside a pet when they can’t tell us themselves.
But wait — she’s not just brilliant in the clinic…
Outside of work, Dr. Profit is our resident cake wizard — creating unreal birthday masterpieces that taste even better than they look. We’re not saying we plan birthdays just for the cake, but… we kind of do.
A strong, graceful swimmer, she can often be found at the pool — or sometimes even braving open water (yes, the ocean!). Whether it’s training, racing, or just diving into a challenge, Dr. Profit brings the same determination and calm strength that she shows in her veterinary work.
At home, she’s a proud mom to two sweet little boys and to the ever-charming Finch, the cat.
If she’s not baking, swimming, or doing an ultrasound — she’s probably organizing a community event, planning an epic party, or volunteering somewhere to help others. (How she fits it all in, we’ll never know.)
And yes — she’s a fan of a classic Margherita… but only after hours, of course!
Dr. Profit brings joy, skill, creativity, and genuine heart to everything she does — from complex ultrasounds to birthday cakes — and we couldn’t feel luckier to have her as part of our clinic family
