Marble & Midnight have been through more change and loss than any two cats should have to handle. 💔 We really need to give these bonded siblings somewhere safe and stable to land while we find their forever home.

We’re so proud of Nani and Lilo! 😻🥰

Last month their sister Stitch went to the most amazing forever home (adoption post coming soon!) and these brave girls have made amazing leaps and started not only exploring the house more but also posing for a family portrait. For context, they have been in our care for over a year and were too skittish to make an appearance in the main parts of the house for the entire time. We had to rely on the camera in their room to ensure they were healthy and well as they were too afraid to show themselves around humans.

We would love to give them a bit more time to learn that hoomans aren’t so bad before we officially start searching for their forever home. But we would definitely consider adoption applicants from patient families who are able to give them the time and space they require to blossom.

As of right now we don’t know if they will be as affectionate as their friendly sister Stitch is so we’d only consider applicants who are ready to love this pair from afar 💖

🏡 Marble & Midnight need a home ❤️

Marble and Midnight are a bonded sister and brother looking for a safe, loving place to land together.

Our greatest hope is to find their forever family so that their next move can truly be their last. But finding the right home for two cats can take time, and these two need placement soon, so we are also urgently looking for a foster home where they can settle while we continue their search.

Marble and Midnight have been together their entire lives. They’ve experienced a lot of unexpected change recently, and through all of it they’ve had one constant: each other. They will be placed together. ❤️

Marble is the quicker of the two to warm up. She loves affection, follows her people around, and takes mealtimes VERY seriously. She wants to be close to you, although she would prefer you keep all four paws firmly on the ground. 😂

Midnight is the more sensitive one and needs some time to feel safe after a change. Give him that time and you’ll discover an affectionate, playful boy who loves attention and has absolutely no respect for personal workspace. Your laptop keyboard is apparently a perfectly reasonable place to stand when you should be paying attention to him instead.

Whether their next home is forever or a safe stop on the way there, what these two need most right now is somewhere calm and patient where they can decompress, settle into a routine, and feel safe together.

Marble & Midnight need us again ❤️

Last week, we shared the heartbreaking news that Marble and Midnight’s beloved mom had passed away unexpectedly in early August.

Their mom first met these two as their foster mom. It didn’t take long for her to realize they were already home, and she officially adopted them together on Mother’s Day. They adored her, and losing her turned their whole world upside down.

Since then, her family and friends have been doing everything they can to keep Marble and Midnight safe and together while figuring out what comes next.

Unfortunately, there has now been another unexpected setback. The basement apartment where they were staying flooded, and with repairs and contractors coming into the home, they’ve had to be moved again temporarily.

After everything these two have been through, what we want more than anything is for their next move to be their last. ❤️

Now that we’ve been connected with the people caring for Marble and Midnight, their next chapter is officially back in our hands, and we’re searching for the forever family who will help them feel safe and settled again.

Marble and Midnight are a bonded sister and brother who have been together their entire lives, and we will not separate them.

After so much upheaval, we’re looking for a calm, patient home that will give them time to decompress and understand that they’re safe again.

We would ideally love to find them a home without other pets, although the right home with one or two friendly, respectful cats may be considered. What matters most is finding them somewhere peaceful where these two can finally settle in and stay.

They have already lost their person and their home. We would really, really love to spare them a series of temporary stops before finding their next person.

As September begins, we’re reflecting on a very bittersweet month for Purrfect Paths. ❤️‍🩹

Early in August, we were utterly heartbroken by the sudden passing of Marble and Midnight’s amazing mom. 😢💔

August also brought us some incredibly happy news. Several much-loved cats who had been with our rescue for a long time finally found their forever homes. But in the wake of such a huge loss for Marble and Midnight, their family and friends, and everyone whose lives their mom touched, it didn’t feel right to immediately jump into celebrating publicly.

So, as we begin a new month, we want to make some room for the joy too. ❤️

Chester, Stitch, and Navi all found their forever homes in August! 🏡🎉 Seeing each of them begin this next chapter has given us some very big reasons to smile during an otherwise difficult month.

They’ll each get their own adoption update as they settle in, complete with their new names and hopefully some glimpses of them getting comfortable with their new families and feline siblings. 🥰

We haven’t yet had the opportunity to speak directly with the family currently caring for Marble and Midnight, but we’ve let their mom’s friends know that Purrfect Paths is here to support them however we can. We’ve also offered to cover vet visits and vaccinations for both cats to help make things a little easier for the family during an incredibly difficult time.

When we know more and have their family’s permission to share, we’ll update our community on how these two very special kitties are doing. ❤️🐾

Here’s to September bringing a little more joy, while we continue to hold space for those we lost and the lives they touched. ❤️

Sprout 🌱

After months of frequent posts and being shared in many different groups, Maple and Sprout have received ZERO applications.

While we don’t want to split pairs if we can avoid it, their foster has noticed that mom and daughter have been spending less time together recently, and both have built strong bonds with other cats in the household. So, we decided to try a temporary separation to see if they truly are still bonded.

Sprout, being the friendlier of the two and more likely to attract adoption applicants, moved to a temporary foster home along with one of her foster brothers to help ease the transition. It’s still early days, but she’s been cautiously opening up and doing really well in her new environment. Just as importantly, Maple hasn’t shown any signs of distress without Sprout around.

As we shared in their profiles, before Maple was trapped by our rescue, she had already been separated from a cat she was bonded with when another rescue trapped him after he was injured. Once we brought Maple into rescue, she formed a very strong bond with her daughter as Sprout grew older, and we didn’t want to put her through another separation if we didn’t have to.

But in recent months, Maple has also formed great bonds with other foster cats, including Lilo, Nani, and Pebble. Seeing those relationships grow made us feel like this was a good time to at least try a separation and see how they both did.

So far, we’re cautiously optimistic. ❤️

In June 2025, Scrappy found his forever family. 🐾

It's hard to believe it's already been over a year since this sweet, chatty boy went home. Since then, he's filled his family's days with endless conversations, playful antics, and plenty of bird-watching from his favourite window perch. 🐦

While he's won everyone's heart, there's one person who holds a very special place in his, and it's his big sister 🥰. His family says one of their favourite things about Scrappy is how protective he is of her and how she's become his person. 💙

Here's what his family had to share about their first year together:

"Adopting Scrappy has been one of the best decisions we've made. He is such a sweet, vocal boy who keeps life exciting with his playful personality and love of bird-watching. One of our favourite things about him is how protective he is of his big sister, who he's also chosen as his person.

Tamara at Purrfect Paths was wonderful to work with throughout the adoption process, and it's clear his foster home gave him so much love and care. After just a few weeks with us, Scrappy settled in beautifully and truly became part of the family. We couldn't imagine our home without him!" ❤️

Stories like Scrappy's remind us why rescue matters. Watching a cat go from waiting for a home to becoming someone's best friend is the greatest reward we could ask for.

Thank you to Scrappy's wonderful family for opening your hearts to him and for sharing your experience with us. Knowing he is so loved is everything we could have hoped for.

PEBBLE IS STILL WAITING, so we’re putting her sweet face back on your feed until her people show up. 🩶🐾

Pebble has been waiting since December 2024, when she was trapped in a backyard and brought into foster care. Since then, she has been slowly learning what safety, consistency, and trust can feel like.

She is a quiet, gentle girl whose progress shows up in small, meaningful moments: staying nearby a little longer, relaxing more deeply, watching the world with softer eyes, and learning that people can be safe.

Pebble absolutely LOVES other cats. A friendly, confident resident cat would make a huge difference for her, helping her feel more secure as she settles into a new home. Feline companionship is one of the biggest keys to her comfort and confidence.

Pebble’s dream home is:
