Maple and Sprout are still waiting. 🤍🧡

We first shared this beautiful mother-and-daughter pair around Mother’s Day, hoping their story would reach the person who was meant to find them. But the days have passed, and they are still here.

Maple has spent so much of her life being exactly what Sprout needed: a safe place, a steady presence, a mother, a best friend. She has comforted her daughter, stayed close to her, and helped her feel brave in a world that has not yet given them a home.

And Sprout still looks for her. She looks to Maple for reassurance, for companionship, for that quiet kind of love only they seem to understand. They nap together, groom each other, and move through their days side by side, as if reminding one another, “I’m still here.”

Please don’t let Maple and Sprout keep waiting for a family simply because they come as a pair. They are not “two cats.” They are a little family. And they are looking for someone who will see that keeping them together is not extra work. It is an act of love.

Maple, a gentle calico mom, is calm. Sprout, her sweet tabby daughter, is curious, playful, and full of personality, but her heart is clearly tied to Maple’s.

They don’t need much. A soft place to land. A patient home. A person who understands that some bonds are too precious to break.

About one year ago, Bubbles found her forever home. ❤️

For a long time, she was our longest-waiting cat. She was affectionate, playful, loyal, and so full of love, but somehow, she kept being overlooked.

Now, one year later, she is cherished exactly as she deserves to be. 🥹

Bubbles has become a beloved cuddle companion, a favourite among family and friends, and even a gentle little ambassador for people who were once nervous around cats.

Her adopter shared:

“What started as a foster journey made me realize how much Bubbles has contributed to my home. All my loved ones and friends fall in love with her; even people I know who have been afraid of cats all their life can't resist her cuteness and friendly nature! She is my cuddle companion through and through and I'm so glad to be able to take care of her for the rest of her precious life.” ❤️

There is something so special about seeing a cat who once waited and waited become so deeply loved.

You know that dream of adopting an easygoing orange cat who just wants to hang out with you all day?

Your cat doesn’t have to panic every time the carrier comes out. 🐱

One of the most common things we hear from cat owners is:
“My cat HATES the carrier.”

But for many cats, the carrier only appears right before something stressful, like a vet visit, travel day, or emergency. Over time, they start to associate it with fear.

A few small changes can make a huge difference:

🖤 Leave the carrier out year-round instead of hiding it away
🖤 Add a familiar blanket or bed inside
🖤 Toss treats into it regularly, even when you’re not going anywhere
🖤 Practice short, calm sessions with the door closed for just a few seconds at a time

The goal is to help your cat see the carrier as a normal, safe space, not a scary surprise.

This kind of training can reduce stress during vet visits, emergencies, moves, and travel, and it makes transport much safer for everyone involved.

Posting again about our girl, Stitch 🖤🐱

The gentle mama cat we rescued alongside her sister in 2025 while she was pregnant. The shy girl with the soft eyes and nurturing heart.

Since then, Stitch has continued to show us just how deeply loving she really is.

But the truth is, while so much has changed for her, Stitch is still waiting.

Still waiting for someone to choose her.
Still waiting for a home that finally lasts.
Still waiting to know what it feels like to truly belong to someone.

She isn’t the cat who immediately demands attention. She takes time to trust, and because of that, she’s easy to miss beside louder, more outgoing cats.

But once she feels comfortable, you begin to see who she truly is: gentle, comforting, affectionate, and so full of quiet love.

The kind of cat who sits nearby just to be close to you.
The kind of cat who brings peace into a room.
The kind of cat who has so much love to give, if someone is willing to give her a chance first.

After everything she’s been through, Stitch deserves more than temporary safety.
She deserves belonging.
She deserves someone who chooses her forever.

We’re alternating our usual $5 Fridays with , where we share some of the rescue stories that remind us why fostering and adoption matter so much. 🐾🤎

This week’s feature is one of our favourite kinds of stories: a foster family that became a forever family.

Last year, this family agreed to foster two Bengal kittens, Sam and Scott. Very quickly, those two kittens became permanent family members.

Scott quickly became known for loudly demanding attention and learning tricks, while Sam formed an instant friendship with the family goldendoodle, Louie, who had apparently been waiting years for a cat sibling of his own.

What started as fostering quickly became foster failing, in the best possible way! But their story with rescue didn’t stop there...

Over the past year, this family has continued opening their home to many Purrfect Paths cats, helping nervous, vulnerable, and deserving cats transition safely into home life while they waited for forever families of their own.

Then came Declan. Declan is a Bengal mix with endless energy, curiosity, and personality. He loves chasing other cats, supervising every household task, following his humans around, and turning absolutely everything into an adventure.

His adopter first met him at one of our events and never forgot him. Even after he was adopted by someone else, she kept thinking about him for months. When life unfortunately didn’t work out the way it should have and Declan needed somewhere safe to land again, she immediately knew where he belonged.

She picked him up the very next day.

Declan settled in almost instantly with the other two cats, Sam and Scott, like he already knew he had finally made it home. 🖤

Watching this family go from first-time fosters to experienced foster parents, adopters, and advocates for rescue cats has been incredibly special. Stories like this are exactly why fostering matters.

It’s , and Pebble is still waiting. 🩶🐾

Pebble was trapped in a backyard in December 2024, and since then, she’s spent over a year in foster care learning what safety, consistency, and trust can feel like.

She’s not the kind of cat who walks into a room demanding attention. Pebble is quieter than that. Softer. The kind of cat whose progress happens in little moments: staying nearby a little longer, relaxing more deeply, slowly learning that people can be safe.

Pebble absolutely LOVES other cats and would do best in a home with a friendly, confident resident cat to help guide her. Having feline companionship makes a huge difference for her comfort and confidence.

Her ideal home is:
🐾 calm and patient
🐾 experienced with shy or undersocialized cats
🐾 willing to let her adjust at her own pace
🐾 understanding that trust is earned slowly
🐾 excited by small wins and quiet companionship

Pebble may not be the cat who immediately climbs into your lap on day one, but for the right person, helping her feel safe enough to truly blossom will be incredibly rewarding. Sometimes the quietest cats leave the biggest impact. 🩶

🎉 Happy 1 Year Gotcha Day to Olive (formerly Blossom) 🫒💜

One year ago today, a tiny black cat with a heartbreaking past went home for what was supposed to be a foster placement.

Instead, her foster mom fell completely in love with her and made it official. 💕

When Olive first came into rescue, she had already been through more than any cat should. Rescued from a hoarding and backyard breeding situation, she arrived exhausted, timid, and carrying the weight of motherhood after losing multiple litters. But even after everything, she remained unbelievably gentle, affectionate, and full of love.

She quickly became known for her sweet little habits. Following just a few steps ahead of her person. Looking back to make sure you were still following her. Turning everyday moments into tiny adventures. 🥹

Then she met her foster mom.

From the moment Olive arrived in her foster home, it was clear something special was happening. She settled in immediately, made herself completely at home, and slowly worked her way straight into her foster mom's heart. What started as fostering quickly became forever.

In Kristen’s words:

“Olive really is the sweetest, funniest little cat. She makes me laugh every day. Her quiet presence is very comforting, my little shadow. She's loving, and has a quirky and curious personality.”

Today, Olive spends her days demanding cuddles, playing chase around the condo, sneaking around corners to surprise her mom, and being adored exactly as she deserves. She may still run away the second someone bends down to pick her up 😆, but she has never once shown a mean bone in her body.

For her now-forever mom, fostering Olive became part of her own healing journey after losing her beloved cat, Sweetpea. For Olive, it meant finally becoming someone’s whole world.

And that is what rescue is all about. 💜
