Blue Barn Castlegar Blue Barn is 100% BC-owned and operated. Thank you for buying local. We also carry food and supplies for your farm friends!

Established in 2016 by Kris Koop, we are proudly Canadian and work hard to provide excellent customer service while also supporting pet rescues and community organizations. Blue Barn is more than a pet-store; we like to think of ourselves as a pet community, offering high-quality pet products for dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles and small pets. We love all pets and hold a special place in our hearts for pets in shelters which is why we support local pet rescues with a variety of events throughout the year. We're 100% BC-owned and believe in making our communities better and stronger.

🦎 Meet Travis, one of the Top 10 in our 2027 Fundraising Calendar Photo Contest!

Travis is a 2-year-old bearded dragon. Mia got him when she was 6, and her little sister Ellie was 2. From the beginning, he’s been gentle, calm and just about the ideal pet. 😍

He’s quiet, clean and loves joining the family on camping trips and holidays. ⛺

He may only use the bathroom once a week, but when he does… look out! Travis is one stinky little guy. 💩 😂

Be sure to check out Travis, featured in March, when you pick up your calendar in-store or online!

Noki, pronounced “no-key,” is a 10-week-old kitten who recently joined the family of our team member, Rebecca! 🥹🐾

We were so excited to meet this little guy when Rebecca stopped by Blue Barn to get him all set up with his kitten essentials. 🐈‍⬛

We can't wait to watch you grow, Noki! 😻
