Little Forrest moved from his laundry room / kitten room , to the downstairs kitten room.

He is now wearing a home made neck protector as he keeps scratching off the scab from the hole where the bot fly (cuterebra ) lived. It’s almost healed .
The neck protector is made from a sock .

The poor fellow also vomitted yesterday a huge splatter . And has diarrhea.
It’s time to stop the antibiotic and see if that clears it up.

On a better note, Forrest is walking fine on his previously healed broken hind leg.

Poor guy has had a rough time .

It’s hard to say goodbye - and with some , it’s even harder.
Cooper was a feral kitten that I determined to win over. He is very bonded to me and it rips my heart that I’m having to say goodbye. But I cannot keep everyone .
The deal is that if he doesn’t bond with his new owners that they’ll bring him back. We don’t want anyone unhappy.
I’m sure it will be fine, they’ve come to visit twice and he plays with them. Shy, but engaged.
Kevin will be fine.

Again it’s been a pleasure helping these two and knowing they’ll be loved .

Tommy - love heals all

From living on the streets for many years, to finally being rescued, neutered and having a full mouth extraction because of painful stomatitis… look at him now.

One year in his forever home, surrounded by love, comfort and everything he probably never knew while trying to survive outside.

He sure looks content, doesn’t he?

This is what rescue is all about. Sometimes you just have to look at the before and after to see how much a safe home and a whole lot of love can change a life.

Love really does heal. Tommy is proof of that.
And your donations are what make this possible- thank you all

I love receiving updates on your adopted kitties, please do share with pictures.

How are Calamity & Cricket still waiting?

These beautiful sisters are 5 months old now and still waiting for their forever home.

Both girls are sweet, social, playful and affectionate. They love people, love attention and, of course, love each other. They would make such a fun addition to a family.

They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and completely ready to go. All they’re missing is someone to choose them.

They’ve spent their kittenhood in foster care and I would really love to see them settled into a home of their own while they’re still young.

Calamity & Cricket are being adopted together.
Adoption fee is $399 for the pair.
Indoor home only.
Located in Carleton Place.

Please share, comment or tag someone who might be looking. Maybe their family just hasn’t seen them yet.

Forrest is feeling better .
Today he was allowed out of his quarantine room to explore half the house.
I’d like him to get comfortable and then move him from my laundry room to the cat room downstairs.
This transition takes a few days as I will let him explore and feel comfortable first.
Eventually he can meet a kitten or two and make friends.

Forrest will be available for adoption after his neuter.
We are taking applications now.
He does need a home with another kitten or friendly playful cat
