LAST ROUND OF GROUP CLASSES BEFORE WINTER!

Sundays starting November 1st.

Leashless Learning: 9:30-10:30 AM
A class for building the foundation of an off-leash reliable dog beyond a recall. We’ll work on heeling, focus, and engagement so your dog chooses to stick with you, rather than relying on a leash to keep them close. We’ll use fences, pens, and long lines to build these skills safely. Expect some pass-bys and maybe a few quick hellos, but no dog-dog play. Not suitable for dogs working through big feelings about other dogs.
Rockin’ Reactivity: 10:45-11:45 AM
For the dogs who DO have big feelings about other dogs on leash. We’ll work through controlled exposure, plenty of practice and training games to help you and your dog navigate triggers with more confidence. The goal is to build skills that actually translate to your everyday walks, not just get through class.
Life Skills & Confidence Building 12-1 PM
A mix of practical life skills and fun training games to help your dog navigate the world with more confidence. We’ll work on useful real-life behaviours, engagement and learning how to work together while keeping things fun. Whether you’re building foundations or polishing existing skills, there’s always something to practice!

Each class is 4 weeks and $150/per class! Please reach out to sign up!

Lucy worked on her loose leash walking and coexisting with a neighbour dog without saying hi today! Moose the Labrador was a great helper for her and together they took on lots of sights and sounds in the neighbourbood! Way to go, Pups! 💕

Waffles is here to remind you that your 6 AM winter self will thank you for the work you put in NOW.

If this is your puppy’s first winter, now is the time to start building good potty habits before the snow hits! Instead of wandering around the entire yard waiting for your puppy to eventually p*e, start teaching them to head to one designated potty spot. Please build that routine because when there’s a foot of snow on the ground and your puppy is busy eating snow instead of p*eing, you’re going to be REALLY glad you put in the work ahead of time.

Future you deserves a quick potty break, not a 20-minute frozen adventure. Be like Waffles’ humans and put the work in now, while you aren’t wearing multiple layers! 🥶

Training skills are like many things, “Use em’ or Lose em”!

Zephyr is a country dawg but it’s still important for him to flex his good boy skills in busy environments so he came for a training walk on Bridge St with auntie this evening! He was a very good boy!! 🩵

This boy has made leaps and bounds since being sprung from the shelter! Benny is now working on some more advanced skills and building relationships with the people in his mom’s life! 🩵

Some FUN Carter facts:

Great crate + x-pen skills Carter can hang out comfortably in his crate or x-pen at home or in the car, even when fun things are happening around him. He doesn’t need to be involved in absolutely everything.

PLAY SKILLS!!!! This might be one of my favourite things about him. Carter will work for a toy, play with different people, and actually COMMIT to the game. He is such a fun little dude to train and play with.

Neutrality Carter doesn’t feel the need to drag you toward every person or dog he sees. He’s happy to do his own thing and check things out without needing to say hi to everyone.

Eager to work with you Carter genuinely enjoys interacting with his people. He wants to play with you, learn with you and figure things out with you. He’s not just food motivated, he’s also very motivated by interaction and play.

Whistle recall He has a solid whistle recall foundation, and the best part? A whistle doesn’t care what his name is. His recall cue can come with him even if his forever family chooses a new name.

Dog + cat social skills He’s had the opportunity to interact with a variety of dogs in different situations and has shown that he can appropriately exist around cats.

Carter is smart, confident, playful and incredibly fun to be around, but he is still a BABY. His forever family needs to be ready for all the normal puppy stuff too: teeth, adolescence, learning how to settle and helping him grow into the dog he’s capable of becoming.

GROUP CLASSES: I’ve probably got one more round of outdoor classes @ Pawradise Acres before Mother Nature says absolutely not, so tell me what you want to see on a Sunday morning!

What class would you sign up for? Something we’ve done before? A specific skill you want help with?
