If you haven't had the chance to meet Courtney, we'd like to take this moment to introduce you! Courtney is a 2025 graduate of Algonquin College, and she joined us in June of 2025 after completing her placement with us. Watching Courtney go from student to RVT has been a blessing for both the team and the patients! There's nothing that Courtney cannot do, no task that she will not take on, and no furry friend that she cannot charm. Courtney shares with us her incredible knowledge, her stellar skills, and her endless well of compassion. We're very fortunate she chose to join our team, and we hope you will join us in celebrating her today!

Today we shine the spotlight on Shallen! You may know Shallen as the RVT who greets you the morning of your pets surgery, or answers your questions when they're ready to leave and get back to napping in the sun! Shallen has been an RVT for over 20 years and we are so thankful for her experience, her continued commitment to medicine, and to her patients. If there's a challenging question to be answered, chances are Shallen's got you covered. If there's a busy day that needs to be juggled, Shallen is right there making it happen. We could not do what we do without her. Please help us in thanking Shallen for everything she does!

Every October we highlight our amazing RVTs, and all the work they do everyday here in clinic. This year we also have something a little different to share! This past August, Hannah was selected to take a trip to the Marshall Islands! There she volunteered her wide range of skills to help spay, neuter, and provide medical care to hundreds of patients across the island. Hannah has been the driving force of our anesthetic team for many years, and her skills were an invaluable asset to the team in the Marshall Islands. We're so thankful to have Hannah on our team, and we're so proud of everything she's accomplished! Please join us in thanking Hannah not only for the work she does in the clinic, but the work she does out of it as well!

We're pleased to introduce the newest member of our RVT team, Shayla! Shayla is a 2025 graduate of Algonquin College, and prior to becoming an RVT she spent many years as a veterinary assistant. We're very fortunate to benefit from her many years of experience, as well as to watch her grow in this new role. You can find Shayla assisting in surgery, seeing appointments, performing lab work, and cleaning teeth, but that's not all! As if being an RVT wasn't enough, she also shares her knowledge as an assistant to help make sure Valley Vet is the best it can be for all the pets we see every day. Please help us say thank you, and a belated welcome to our newest RVT!

Meet Alicia! While Alicia has many talents, we're not sure she's ever had the opportunity to work with dinosaurs! If you've been by the clinic in the last few months, chances are you've met Alicia. She spent the summer with our reception team and we are so grateful for all the compassion, advice, and care she brought each and every patient she saw. While she's excited to get back to appointments, lab work, and surgery, we know her knowledge and skill will be missed at the front desk! Alicia shines wherever she is in the clinic, and we only wish we knew how she could be everywhere at once! Please help us in giving Alicia a big thank you for all her hard work and dedication!
