October is Registered Veterinary Technician Month! This month is all about our hardworking, dedicated RVTs. Stay tuned over the coming days for posts about our fantastic RVT team!
When folks try to describe what it means to be an RVT, often there is so much missing, as this role is vital to all veterinary practices and there just aren't enough words! RVTs are the heart and soul of the clinic, often playing a huge role in making sure your pets recieve the medical attention and love they require. Next time you hear someone say they're "just the RVT" remember that their role in veterinary medicine covers just a few of these things: Phlebotomist, Anesthetist, Radiographer, Nutritionist, Pharmacist, Lab Tech, Surgical Assistant, Educator, Animal Advocate, Grief Councellor, Fear Free Handler, Pain Relief Provider, Infection Controller, Critical Care Leader, Detective, Recovery Nurse, Comfort Giver, Friend, LIFE SAVER.
