A special shoutout to Emma for an exciting season of firsts! 💙🤍

After less than a month with SV Equestrian International, Emma headed to the Angelstone Playoffs and earned placings including 5th and 11th in the highly competitive 0.60m division! With the West, Central and North regions coming together, playoffs bring some of Southern Ontario’s best horse-and-rider combinations into one ring—making these results even more special. 👏

Having attended playoffs for the past couple of years, earning her first playoff placings this year was a milestone worth celebrating!

Emma also finished 4th overall in the Angelstone Silver Series West season standings for the 0.60m division—another first for her, in a division filled with talented riders and quality horses!

We’re so proud of Emma’s achievements and delighted to be part of her journey. Congratulations, Emma—we’re excited to see what’s next! 🐴✨

What a weekend for our team at the Eastern Canadian Eventing Championships at Wesley Clover Park! 🏆

It was each rider’s first time competing at these championships, and everyone handled the atmosphere extremely well. We’re so proud of our team.

Juliette Robinson and SV Iroquois won the Senior/Open EV85 Championship division against a large, competitive field. Juliette and Ira won the dressage by five points, then tackled a tough stadium course and jumped double clear across country to bring home the championship ribbon. What a season of progress for this pair!

Stuart Black and SV Northern Lights (Butterball) completed their first CCI2* and finished 4th after a challenging stadium round and a testing cross-country course. We’re thrilled with how this young horse rose to the occasion.

Laura Robertson and SV Northern Allure (Blondie) finished 3rd in Senior EV100 in their first outing at the level, with a clear cross-country round.

Amelie Fortin and Thomas O’Malley (Tommy) also jumped clear across country and finished 7th in the tightly contested Junior EV90 Championship division.

Hailey Boeykens and SV Dazzle (Dazz) made big strides in the dressage, earning a personal-best score at the 2* level. Dazz became unsettled by a horse being lunged nearby as they entered the ring, but Hailey kept her composure and rode through the challenging moment like a seasoned pro.

Congratulations to all our horses and riders! 💙🏁

🐴 Working Student Opportunity | SV Equestrian International

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking working student to join our team in Milton/Campbellville, Ontario.

This is a hands-on role caring for horses and helping with the daily running of a busy eventing and show jumping barn. Duties include feeding, turnout, stalls, grooming, tack care and preparing horses for training and competitions. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in horse care, works well independently and wants to learn.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop your riding and horsemanship with coaching from Stuart Black, a two-time Olympian, and Victoria Knox, an FEI rider. Depending on your experience and goals, opportunities may include riding, lessons, competitions, travel to shows in Ontario and the U.S., and trips to Aiken for shows and training.

Housing, board for one horse and a weekly stipend may be available depending on the arrangement. A horse to ride may also be available for the right person.

Interested? Send us a message or email [email protected] with your horse experience, riding goals, availability and references. Riding videos are welcome.

SV Northern Lights (Butterball) keeps getting braver and faster every time out! 🧈✨

A fantastic 3rd-place finish in the EV110 at Glen Oro, finishing on his dressage score and posting the fastest cross-country time of the division—and this time, Stuart jumped all the right fences 😂

Super horse with such an exciting future ahead! 🐎💨
