🍂Thanksgiving falls on this very special girls 14th Heavenly Birthday today. 🍁 And of course it does, because the moment she entered your life…until the very last. You could not have been more grateful and thankful for her. She was quite simply, the most beautiful, the sweetest, most perfect girl you could have ever asked for. Never once in her life did she growl, or have a cross bark for anything or anyone. She was just all of our purest love, and joy. She was the light of her family’s lives. The light of her second family’s (our) lives. And the lights of her fur brothers and fur friends lives. Our only comfort is knowing they are all together celebrating. But down here it has been very hard without her. No one prepares you for the depth of joy one furry little soul can bring to your life. And you wonder how you ever lived without it. And even moreso. Nothing prepares you for the depth of their loss when one day. The biggest lights of your lives are taken from you. And this year without you has felt at times unbearable. A testament to how much joy you brought all of us every single day. We will continue to celebrate every single minute we got to share with you. Our beautiful Baxter, how can this be your 16th heavenly Birthday? Meaning we’ve been missing you with broken hearts for more years, than we were blessed to have you by our side. The instant I saw your picture on Petfinder. It was love at first sight. I knew the second I laid eyes on you, you were the dog I’d been dreaming of. Sight unseen in person. We applied for you that minute. And were lucky enough to be accepted as your parents. And every day after felt like a dream. You gave us the most incredible, and happiest 7 years of our lives. And some of the hardest. Which has been every day since losing you so suddenly. Thank you for being the dog of our dreams. I hope Tay, and Jasper and Winston and all your friends are having fun where you are today. Because we sure miss you all down here. We love you our handsome boy. Happy 16th Birthday. 💙🌈🫶

This was the pupcake we had made for you last year. Never knowing it was the last Birthday we’d ever celebrate with you. You’d be 12 today. And like so many in our crew. It is so unfair that it is a heavenly Birthday celebration of you. But we try and put the sadness aside. And celebrate the joy, laughter, and happiness you brought into our lives. You were the true Mayor of Handsomeville Mr. Mayer. Thank you for 11 amazing years. Happy 12th Heavenly Birthday. Along with the big crew up above. We miss you so, sooooo much!!!

Today would be your 11th Birthday. And I can’t believe we’ll never get to smooch your sweet little face again. Rufus, you were one of a kind. And some of our funniest memories were trying to wrangle you out of the water after you discovered your unbridled joy of swimming! You were the sweetest, most wonderful silver ball of love. And fell in love with you instantly as a tiny pup at the dog park. And never stopped! How lucky we were to have loved you. We’ll miss you always. And celebrate you forever. A very special boy is three today!! This adorable bundle of sweetness came into our lives as just a puppy. He brightened our days with his unbelievable sweetness and love. We were going through a very tough time with Jasper’s cancer diagnosis at the time. And our walks with him were like chicken soup for our souls. He’s the happiest, sweetest, gentlest, and loving little dude, and we adore him inside and out. Our hearts broke when he moved out of the community. And we still miss him!! But want to thank him for all the joy he brings to everyone lucky enough to love him! Happy 3rd Birthday Wrigley! Thank you for being the good-est, of the good boys! We love you! 💙xo

Happy 5th Birthday to our sweet Penny! This sweet girl unofficially joined our family, 2.5 years ago when we took her in for a client to spend time with Jasper, Tay, and the crew, to help build her confidence. 3 months later she officially joined our family. And this calm, sweet, special girl has been, quietly behind the scenes. Been by our sides as we’ve navigated a steady stream of unexpected, and unimaginable losses since she joined our family. I feel like she’s never known us to not be grieving. As she joined our family while Jasper was battling cancer. And we’ve endured loss after loss since. But today we are celebrating her calm, steady, sweet presence in our lives when we needed it most. We love and celebrate you our funny little girl!

Jasper, our precious boy. This was the last Birthday we ever celebrated with you. You were so happy with your best friends there with you. You’d be 14 today, and boy what we wouldn’t give to have just one more day with you. We used to joke that Baxter was just like Daddy. Friendly, happy, loving everyone. And you were more like me. You chose who you loved, but when you did, you loved so deeply. And also like me, to a fault, would defend anyone you saw as a threat to those loved ones. You adored us, your pack of friends, Aunties and Uncles, your Grandma, and felt it was your duty to protect us all. And you did. And I miss it, more than I could ever say. But I’m glad you’re there protecting the big pack that now rests up above. But we miss you down here. Not just on your Birthday. But every day. Thank you for 12 incredible years. We cherished every single minute. And happy heavenly 14th Birthday! 💙 We’ll love you to forever and back again.

Each and every single pet, has left a paw print sized hole in our hearts, and their families hearts, that will never be filled. We miss them, all of them. With all our hearts, every single day. I sure wish heaven had visiting hours.

Happy 15th Birthday to our precious girl Winifred "Winnie" Pearl. Named after John’s grandmother Winifred, for the s***k and confidence she had as a tiny kitten. She was one of many surprise additions we’ve added to our family over the years. When our then neighbour asked us if we wanted a kitten, (that their friends cat had had). As we had two senior kitties at the time. The plan was to take her to my friends Mom, who worked at an animal hospital. And find her a good family through their clients. But after picking her up, John asked if we could take her out of the kennel, and I said No. We were not going to get attached to her. He pleaded. So out she came. She walked by our two boys, tail up like she owned the place. Crawled onto John’s shoulder and fell asleep! He was totally in love. And asked if we could keep her. Approximate time she was out of the kennel? About 5-10 mins! 😂 And boy am I glad he persisted. She has been literally the perfect addition to our family. And has been with us through every single pet we’ve loved and lost. She’s sweet, tender, affectionate, calm, and so good to the pups, and we feel so grateful to have loved her for 15 amazing years! Happy 15th Birthday our precious little Winnie Pearl! 🥳🎉💕🐾

Rufus, affectionately referred to as the silver ball of love, has heartbreakingly joined the crew at the rainbow bridge. And our hearts are once again shattered. We were lucky enough to know and love this sweet silver soul, since he was 10 baby weeks old. Our youngest puppy ever. And he stayed with us for weeks each month as his busy parents grew their business. For his whole first year until they moved two hours away. We absolutely loooooved this boy! He was the best puppy! He was just all love, all the time, and boy did he ever love his human brothers & family!! I was there with him the first time he ever swam, and he was the happiest swimmer on planet earth! Sometimes leaving me and the crew waiting, till he’d get out and finally stop swimming, for over an hour! Barking with delight at himself! I can’t count the number of times I had to go into the river, (full jeans, socks and shoes), to get him out!! One time around ten people stopped on the walking bridge to watch him swim and bark to his hearts content. He was one of a kind. Happy, loving, playful, sensitive, silver ball of love. We loved him with all our hearts, and his family! And as with all the losses we’ve all endured. Our lives will never feel as complete again without them. But I’m comforted knowing he has a big beautiful crew to watch over him till we meet again. You were the best boy Rufus. Thank you. Thank you for being you! We’re so grateful we got to love you. We’ll miss you forevermore. 💙🌈🐾
