You might have noticed that our exhibitors and horses wear wearing a couple ribbons this year. Sadly the heavy horse community lost two people this month. We wore ribbons to honor the memory of our friends, Wayne Wareing and Tynel Debnam. Thank you Calico Farms Tammy Pelonero for making these ribbons!

Before the 2026 Calgary Stampede Heavy Horse Show comes to a close, we have another throwback.
The James/Ferguson family have been an integral part of the Calgary Stampede Heavy Horse Show for many years. Whether they’re in the show ring or putting on the show, they’re doing it perfectly. We couldn’t do it without you.

It’s time for another throwback! Highview Percheron’s, Don, Jolene and family were an institution at the Calgary Stampede for many years. Don was also an active committee member throughout the years as well!
