Sweet Roxy visited us for her exam and booster vaccine! πŸΆπŸ’•

At just 6 months old, she was a star patient and handled her appointment like a pro. Booster vaccines are an important part of helping young puppies build strong, lasting protection as they grow.

Our team loved spending time with this adorable girl and making her visit as positive as possible. Keep up the great work, Roxy! πŸ’š

Beamer came in for his check-up and vaccines, and he did an amazing job! πŸΆπŸ’‰βœ¨

He was such a sweet boy during his visit and got lots of love from our team along the way. Routine exams and vaccines are an important part of keeping our pets healthy and protected throughout every stage of life.

We loved seeing you, Beamer! πŸ’š

Double the cuteness alert 🐾 πŸ’š

Loki (the darker pup) and Luna (the lighter pup) came in for their exams, and both received their microchips like total champions!

These two sweethearts did so well and soaked up lots of love and cuddles from our team during their visit. We absolutely loved meeting these cutie pies! 🐢✨

Microchipping is a simple and safe way to help pets find their way back home if they ever get lost.

A tiny wild hare was brought into our hospital by a kind-hearted person trying to help πŸ’›πŸ‡

While it may seem like baby hares have been abandoned, in most cases their mom is actually nearby and returning only a few times a day to feed them β€” usually at dawn and dusk. This is completely normal behaviour for wild rabbits and helps avoid attracting predators to the nest.

The best thing you can do if you find a healthy baby hare is:
🐾 Leave them where they are
🐾 Keep pets and people away from the nest
🐾 Monitor from a distance

Baby hares should only be rescued if they are clearly injured, cold, covered in flies, attacked by a pet, or if the mother has been confirmed deceased.

Wildlife babies have the best chance of survival when they stay with their mother in their natural environment. Before moving them, always contact a wildlife rehabilitation organization or veterinary professional for guidance.

Thank you to everyone who cares for the little creatures we share our community with πŸ’š

Happy Cinco de Mayo from the team at Healthy Paws Forward Veterinary Hospital! We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating with your pets!

πŸ₯‘ Quick Fiesta Safety Tip: As you bring out the delicious spreads, please remember to keep the guacamole, onions, and garlic well out of paws' reach! These festive human treats can be toxic to our dogs and cats. Stick to their regular pet-safe snacks so everyone can join in the fun safely.

If your pet happens to sneak a forbidden snack from the table today, our hospital team is always here to help.

Wishing you and your pets a happy, healthy, and safe Cinco de Mayo!
