🐾 FOUND A STRAY PET OR INJURED WILDLIFE? HERE IS WHAT TO DO!

Please note that our clinic does not accept stray pets or wildlife. To make sure every animal gets the help they need as quickly as possible and ensure pet finds their home as quick as possible, please follow these guidelines:

- Strays: Contact your nearest 24/7 veterinary emergency clinic to ensure space is available.

- Wildlife: For injured or orphaned wild animals, reach out to Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) or your local wildlife rehabilitation organization for guidance before attempting to handle them.

🔍 To Help Reunite a Stray Domestic Pet:
- Post Online: Share a clear photo and key details (location found, distinctive markings) on the YYC Pet Recovery page and in your local neighborhood/community Facebook groups.

To help keep your pets safe, calm, and secure through the weekend's festivities, keep these quick tips in mind:

🐾 Keep pets Inside

🐾 Secure the Area: Ensure all doors, gates, and secure enclosures are tightly closed to prevent any fear-driven escapes.

🐾 Drown Out the Noise: Turn on a radio, television, or a household fan to help mask and block out sudden loud sounds.

🐾 Watch for Signs of Stress: If your pet shows extreme anxiety—such as excessive panting, pacing, hiding, or restlessness—or if you need alternative calming options reach out to your veterinarian for tailored support.
