Our team at Acadia Drive Animal Clinic is organizing a Bottle Drive to support the Layton family and help cover Cody’s funeral expenses. We are deeply grateful for the kindness and support our community has already shown during this incredibly difficult time.

If you would like to contribute, bottles can be dropped off at the clinic, or you can use the QR code on the poster for free pickup through SkipTheDepot. Monetary donations may also be made through the GoFundMe.

We kindly ask that while Amanda and Liam return to work, they be given the space and privacy they need during this time. If you have condolences, questions, or would like to share support, please speak with our front desk team, who will make sure messages are passed along. 😊

Thank you for helping us keep the clinic a supportive and peaceful place for everyone. ❤️

Hello Acadia Family,

Just over 3 years ago, we shared with you the heartbreaking news that our beloved clinic manager Amanda Layton’s eldest son, Cody, was facing an incredibly rare and aggressive cancer. During that time, many of you offered prayers, donations, kind words, and unwavering support to the Layton family.

It is with the heaviest hearts that we share that Cody has passed away, at the age of 29.

Cody fought with extraordinary strength, courage, and grace, surrounded by the deep love of his family. Amanda, her boys, and their family have been forever changed by this loss, and our entire Acadia family is mourning alongside them.

If you feel moved to do something in support, the GoFundMe remains available, with donations now going toward funeral expenses. As always, no amount is too small, and sharing the link is just as meaningful.

Thank you for continuing to hold Amanda and the Layton family in your thoughts during this unimaginably difficult time. Your compassion has meant more than words can express. 🤍

🐾🎉 Pumpkin Has Officially Retired! 🎉🐾

After weeks of dedicated service as our Clinic Supurrvisor, Pumpkin has officially retired from her clinical duties and moved into her forever home! ❤️

Pumpkin took her role very seriously — spending her days overseeing treatment, supervising surgery prep, monitoring staff productivity, and ensuring all patients received an appropriate amount of silent judgment and fuzzy moral support.

She has generously decided to pass her duties on to the human staff (who will never do the job as well as she did), and will now be focusing on her new full-time role:
Professional Lap Warmer, with a benefits package including unlimited snuggles and brushing (per her contract).

We’ll miss our favorite “employee,” but we’re so happy she’s been adopted! ❤️ Congratulations, sweet girl — enjoy your well-earned retirement! 🎉🏡🐈‍⬛

🐾 Meet This Gorgeous Sweetheart 🐾

This beautiful, fluffy girl named Pumpkin is looking for her forever home! She’s a gentle, affectionate cat who loves nothing more than curling up on your lap for snuggles 💕

She’s been through a lot — she’s had two cystotomies, so she’ll need to stay on urinary food for life (her favorite is C/D Tuna cans mixed with a little water — she thinks it’s gourmet!) 🍽️

✨ About her:
She will be 6 on December 5th 🥳
Loves being brushed — it’s her spa time 💆‍♀️
Big fan of lickable treats (instant happiness) 💗
Can’t resist butt scratches (prepare for happy purrs!) 🐱
Would make an amazing lap cat for someone wanting a calm, loving companion 🐈‍⬛

She’s truly a sweetheart with a soft, gentle soul and a heart full of love to give. 🥰

If you’re looking for a loyal friend who will fill your days with warmth and quiet joy, she’s waiting for you!
