Another successful first week of Thunderbird is in the books, and we could not be more proud of the continued growth, sportsmanship, and performances from our riders and horses across the board.
⭐️ Elsa Webster and Buff delivered some outstanding rounds in the 0.75m division, and their partnership is truly beginning to shine. Watching their confidence and consistency grow together has been incredibly rewarding.
⭐️ Olivia Reynolds and Shades of Cool made the 2’9” hunters look effortless, laying down smooth, polished rounds that continue to showcase the style and harmony this pair is known for.
⭐️ Tenley Gregory had an exceptional weekend, earning Reserve Champion aboard Kimberley VD Elsakker in the hunter ring, while also taking Reserve Champion in the 0.9m division with Lazou. A fantastic accomplishment for both partnerships.
⭐️ Taryn Kelly and Montikki EF continued to impress in the 1.0m division, confidently making all the right decisions and showing tremendous development as a team. It has been such a pleasure watching this partnership continue to come into its own.
⭐️ Beverley Becker and Alejandro have been hard at work maintaining their excellence in the hunter ring and continue to show everyone exactly how it’s done with consistency, polish, and professionalism.
⭐️ Meghan Dermott and young horse, WH Chosen One, have been such an exciting pair to follow this season, so much promise for the future.
⭐️ Beda Wachter aboard WH Chicscarina and April’s Applepie have been unbelievably competitive, stepping up round after round in the 1.20 division and proving themselves as an exciting combination to watch. WH Luv is proving to have all the athleticism, personality, and undeniable presence make her such a fun horse to watch develop, and we are excited to see what the future holds for this talented mare.
We are incredibly proud of every horse and rider for their dedication both in and out of the ring. These results are a reflection of countless hours of hard work, TEAMwork, and horsemanship. We are excited to see what the rest of Thunderbird has in store.
Of course thanks to the team behind the scenes here at the show, Oliver and Laura, and of course the parents for the support and assistance! Finally a shoutout to everyone at home who keeps the horses and farm going.
