This couldn’t have been a better day. Shubham and I were out on the road early this morning only to encounter blue skies, gin clear mountain rivers. After a little 4x4 Shubham and I end up at one of my favourite spots on the Livingstone River. After slipping and sliding down the valley wall, there it was. This amazing pool was holding some really good size Trout.

After the end of the day we made our way back up to the roadside when Shubham looked over to me and said. There’s nothing better than beautiful Cutthroat sipping Dry Flies off the surface. Amazing, what an amazing day Geneo🔥🔥

Illinois, USA Tackles the Bow River.

Let’s give it up for, Sheryl and Ted, these two Walleye kids came up to Canada for a Fishing Adventure of a lifetime. They started off booking a Walleye Fishing Trip with one of our local guides in Southern Alberta. This couple just raved about their experience down south, smashing Walleye after Walleye which made them feel so comfortable, right at home and they spoke so highly of the guiding company that looked after them.

At the end of their day, they mentioned to their guide they had booked 2-days Fly Fishing with on the renown . They told me the gentleman asked, do you Fly Fish as well? When they said no, they said the guide started to giggle. We thought this would be a great new experience for the both of us to do and learn. They turned and said that the guide told them to forget everything he taught them on how to set the hook because Fly Fishing was a new whole game.

Well when these two kids buckled up into my drift boat, it wasn’t long and with some coaching and teaching the bugs began to fly and Ted yelled, let the games begin. On day one, Sheryl and Ted tackled a Lower Bow River Fly Fishing Trip and on day two we were back on the Bow running my In City Fly Fishing Trip. Lots of Rainbows and White Fish were the flavours of the days and their smiles of accomplishment will burn memories of this Alberta vacation that will last a lifetime.

Bow River Mecca 2-day Camp and Fish Trip.

You show up at the Wheatland Shores Campground with your Tent , Trailer or RV and we will have your paid !! 15amp power site waiting for your arrival. Each day you will float 2-different sections of the Lower Bow River. Each morning you will wake up to a full Cowboy Breakfast. Upon returning from day one, you will be seated to a full Italian Pasta dinner. Upon returning of day two you will be served a full Alberta AAA Steak Dinner with all the trimmings.

Trip includes: 2- anglers, 2-paid nights of camping, all gear, rods, reels, flies, snacks for the boat, drinks for the day, river shuttle and free transportation to and from the campground.

The Pineapple Exspress.

For all of us that live within or around the Canadian Rocky Mountains there’s that one storm we all dream and live for. Throughout the winter months all of us powder hounds wait for the word that the Pineapple Exspress is on its way. This is a storm that develops in the state of Hawaii, USA and travels across the Pacific Ocean. The warm trade winds hold a massive amount of moisture and when it collides in the high altitude of the Canadian Rockies it dumps the largest amounts of fresh powdered any skier or boarder dreams to ride.

It’s is a fast rolling storm with very short notice it’s on its way. So when word is out the Pineapple is on it’s way, street after street, garages, basements, decks permeate the air of melting hot wax. Literally business, shops close and riders from around the region are calling in sick, filling up the vehicles, grab a bucket of chicken and a gallon of chocolate milk and head to their favourite ski hill for that epic day of Powder.

Well let’s talk about how the Pineapple Apple Exspress affects the in the in summer. That’s right the Pineapple Exspress is not just a winter storm it’s a storm that also develops and rolls through Alberta in the summer as well but it’s just not exploited because it’s not winter.

Steveo and Jared are two hardcore clients of mine. It was their first time experiencing the As the bugs blew off the water like jet fighters leaving the flight deck, the Trout went absolutely ballistic creating a massive feeding frenzy. EPIC DAY. EPIC!

Where The Eagles Fly Low.

Richard had reached out to me explaining his best friend Ken had just sold his Fly Fishing Guide Company in retirement, traveling and Fly Fishing was all that came to mind, free to travel the world with his best friend hunting any species that would take a Fly. He went on to say that he had heard from other anglers that the word on the street was to to book a Lower Bow River Fly Fishing Trip with and this would be where thier adventures would begin.

These hardcore fellows had booked a date right in prime time and prior to their arrival the Bow had had received a deluge of bad weather. It was heart breaking the day they arrived only to have a conversation with them exsplaining the bad conditions of the river and I was going to give them a total refund. The fellas asked if I would pick them up in the morning and take them down to see the conditions. When we arrived the water level was near top of the banks and the flow was rocking.

As they stood at the gate of the boat launch, they said, Geneo we only had a one day window of opportunity, can you fish in these conditions?? Well yes I can. There’s a couple places down river where the Eagles fly low. They gracefully play and meander through the trees like a stealth jet fighter. It won’t be easy but if we’re going to get any fish these are definitely the spots will find them.
