Get to Know Our RVTs! 🐶🐱🐰

For RVT Appreciation Week, we’re shining a spotlight on our amazing technologists! We asked each of them what inspired them to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and this week, we’re sharing their answers.

“I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare, but I wasn’t sure which route to take. During high school, I spent my summers working at a summer camp, where I had a variety of responsibilities, including caring for the horses. One summer, a horse suffered a nasty wound from barbed wire, and the vet and vet tech came out to treat it. I was fascinated by the whole process! The camp director, who also happens to be my uncle, had a weak stomach, so he put me in charge of caring for the wound. Through that experience, I discovered how much I loved caring for animals and being their voice when they couldn’t speak for themselves. After graduating high school, I took a few years off to travel before going to college. Becoming a veterinary technologist has given me such a strong sense of purpose, and I absolutely love what I do!”

For RVT Appreciation Week, we’re shining a spotlight on our amazing technologists! We asked each of them what inspired them to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and this week, we’re sharing their answers.

“I knew I wanted to work with animals from a very young age, I always said I wanted to be a Veterinarian. It wasn’t until after high school when I started volunteering at a vet clinic that I realized what a Veterinary Technologist was. I absolutely loved how involved they were in every aspect of what goes on in clinic. My love for animals and my passion for this career exploded and I’m so thankful for all the connections (fur and human!) I have made over the years.”

For RVT Appreciation Week, we’re shining a spotlight on our amazing technologists! We asked each of them what inspired them to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and this week, we’re sharing their answers.

“I fell in love with veterinary medicine when I attended Olds College in 2010. I’ve always had a deep love for animals and grew up surrounded by dogs, so caring for animals has always felt like a natural fit for me. What I love most about being a veterinary technologist is being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves and providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to every patient I’m entrusted with. I also cherish the relationships I’ve built with my clients over the years. Being able to support both animals and the people who love them is incredibly rewarding, and it’s what continues to make me passionate about the career I chose.”
