We love adding talent to this team!

Tayanah completed her 6 week practicum at Burwash Equine Services as part of the Olds College Veterinary Technologist Diploma. We feel incredibly fortunate that she could join our team permanently as of May 2026. Tay has a passion for all things animal health, but is particularly excited about Equine Sports Medicine.

This is a 26 day pregnancy we confirmed a heartbeat on this week. Excited to see this foal in spring 2027! We typically do a first scan for pregnancy at 14 days, and then confirm a heartbeat on that pregnancy at 25-30 days.

This week we'd like to celebrate the stallions standing at Burwash in 2026. Today, we introduce Red Hott Cat - one of the highest NCHA earning Canadian Stallions in the aged events. Don’t you love the joy on these faces? This filly is thriving only because her mom made it to the clinic in the nick of time, was anesthetized, and we were able to pull the foal and do the CPR required to save her life. Her owner wants us to put it out there - make sure to have your trailer hitched up and ready to go during foaling season! Your quick response (and ours) can truly make the difference, and the ability to use anesthesia and hoist the hind limbs in a difficult foaling is a game changer.
