to leave your pet in a hot car.

Due to the expected warm temperatures in Calgary, please consider leaving your pet home rather than having them tag along for a ride.

Try to take shorter, less-intense walks in early morning or late evening to avoid the hottest temperatures of the day. Make sure to provide access to plenty of water and shade if you have to be outside.

Remember, dogs and cats with short faces, as well as senior pets and pets with medical conditions (especially respiratory conditions), are at an even higher risk on hot days and activity should be avoided during these conditions.
