A microchip only works if the registry details match real life: current phone number, current address, current emergency contact. If you've moved, changed your number, or brought home a new pet recently, today's a great day to log in and update it.

It takes about five minutes and can make all the difference if your pet ever slips out the door. Not sure which registry your pet is chipped with? Your veterinarian's office can look it up for you.

Happy International Cat Day! 🐾 There's a myth that cats are "easy" pets — low maintenance, no fuss. But easy and quiet aren't the same thing.

Cats are experts at hiding when something's off. A slight change in appetite, a little less time at the water bowl, hiding more than usual — these subtle shifts are often the only clues we get, and they're easy to miss if you're not looking closely.

That's part of what we love about in-home cat sitting: we get to know your cat's normal, so we notice when something's not. If you ever have questions about what's typical for your cat, your veterinarian is always the best place to start.

Is your senior pet's home set up for their comfort? 🏡 A few small environment updates can make a big difference in how confident and comfortable they feel getting around.

Think about adding a ramp or step stool near their favourite couch or bed, choosing a non-slip mat for slippery floors, and raising food and water bowls to a comfortable height. A cozy, supportive bed tucked into a quiet corner and a nightlight along the hallway can also go a long way for pets whose eyesight isn't quite what it used to be.
