TR-iffic Trims Dog Grooming

07/01/2026

Have you ever watched a professional dog grooming competition?

Most people haven’t.

This isn’t a traditional dog show. It’s a showcase of artistry, where some of the world’s best professional groomers transform dogs right before your eyes. The level of skill, precision and creativity is incredible, and it’s something you really have to see in person to appreciate.

Mastergroom Canada is your chance to experience a world that most people never get to see.

If you’re a dog owner, you’ll also enjoy exploring a trade show filled with companies that are passionate about helping you care for your dog. From grooming tools, shampoos and coat care products to health, nutrition and pet accessories, you’ll have the opportunity to meet industry experts, ask questions and discover products that can make life easier for both you and your dog.

Throughout the weekend, internationally acclaimed groomers will be presenting live demonstrations, sharing practical tips on brushing, bathing, coat maintenance and keeping your dog looking and feeling their best between grooming appointments. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn from some of the very best in the world.

Whether you’re a dog lover, breeder, exhibitor, or simply curious about the fascinating world of professional grooming, we’d love to welcome you.

Join us July 24–26 at the Parkland Pavilion, Westerner Park in Red Deer.

Trade show and competition viewing passes are just $15 per day at the door.

I promise you’ll leave with a whole new appreciation for the art, skill and passion behind professional dog grooming. I’d love to see you there!

I have a favor to ask of my dog people. Would you be able to help me with my Google reviews? I had a very upsetting experience with a lady this last week. Her dog got a scratch on its chin, I believe from the puppy she was playing with, but also acknowledged that I could have been from one of our tools. If it was from one of our tools and we knew it happened, you know that I would tell the owner. Even though I was trying to come to a respectful professional solution for her, she just kept cycling between wanting an apology (which my manager & I gave her mamy) and saying we weren't taking responsibility. After 30min of this, I terminated her as a client, only to wake up to a lovely one-star review.
So here I sit, questioning some choices, but knowing I have strong morals/values/ethics when it comes to the dogs entrusted in my care.
I hope that you feel I uphold this, if so a Google review of Urban dogs would help me greatly.
Signed

I'll be in Utah from Oct 14-21st cause I'm old enough to play senior ladies slow pitch. Call the store if you need to book a spot for when I'm back to work or let Clara give your pup a bath & Tidy while I'm gone.

Urban Dogs is offering dog lovers a special opportunity to learn from award winning groomer, TR Turner, with more than 28 years experience.

Maintaining your dog between grooming appointments is vital for their health and overall well-being.
Regular visits to a professional groomer are important. There are several steps that you can take at home to keep your furry friend looking and feeling their best.
With this class I'll teach you how to properly brush out your dog so you can keep them fluffy and fabulous.
I will show you how to trim their feet, eyes and bum area. Trimming nails can be a bit trickier as most dogs really don't like this, but I will show you that (as long as your dog is not aggressive having their paws/nails touched).

Dates for the next 3 classes will be:
March 16th • 11am-2pm
April 27th • 11am-2pm
May 25th • 11am-2pm

🐩 Maximum of 6 dogs per class.
✂️$225/student • 50% non-refundable deposit to hold your spot ~ remaining balance due on day of class.

✂️🪮 Bring all your grooming tools with you so I can assess which are effective for your dog.
Grooming equipment will be available for purchase at 10% discount for students.

Reserve your spot soon!
Space is limited.
