When you have 9 dogs to hunt and you leave with 3 and the other 6 have to wait their turn! 😂😂

This past weekend we attended the Stettler Pheasant Festival. It was a lot of fun with a lot of birds.
Hunter and I missed the hunt on Saturday due to Soccer and puppies. We managed to make it for the Saturday evening banquet. The food was amazing as usual with lots of great auction items and prizes.
Sunday was a really nice day. The dogs hunted hard and found a ton of birds. Aaron, the photographer didn’t arrive until Saturday evening lol so sorry no pictures of Rocket but I heard she had a great time. Until next year.

Attention, Canadian Kennel Club members!
The Brittany Club is asking all CKC members to help us out by voting in the upcoming referendum in November. We are the very last item on the list, with our parent club asking for the name change from Brittany Spaniel to Brittany. It was voted on before, but at least 25 per cent of members must vote, and 2/3rds of them must vote for the change. The last time it was voted on, less than 25 per cent of the membership voted so no resolutions were passed, and that included the name change.
Now why do we want it changed? The most important reason is that quite simply, Brittanys are not spaniels. Brittanys are not allowed to run in spaniel field trials by any registering body in the world. Brittanys are pointing dogs, and compete quite successfully in pointing dog field trials. While they are the same general shape and size as some of the spaniels, they are supposed to have way less feathering than spaniels, and the ears are high set and relatively small triangles, rather than long and low set like is preferred for spaniels. Other national kennel clubs like the American Kennel Club dropped the spaniel from their name in 1982.
Please help our club to get this passed, and vote for the change. Feel free to share this to expose it to other Canadian Kennel Club members also!
