Forever in my Heart Pet Memorials

Forever in my Heart Pet Memorials Memorials hand-crafted with love to commemorate your pet family members. The name comes from a tattoo I had placed on my ankle a couple of years ago.

Like many of you, I have sadly experienced the heartbreaking loss of my furry family members. I have many pictures of them but I didn’t know what to do with their ashes, footprints and fur. Time passed as it does, but during my COVID-19 housecleaning I came across their memorial items and decided that I was ready to create a unique and lasting tribute to honour their lives. I had many ideas, inclu

ding shadow boxes but couldn’t find ones that would attractively display everything. So I started sketching, put my woodworking skills to use, and produced the shadow boxes that you see here. I then thought that perhaps others might be interested in memorialising their pets in the same way so Forever in My Heart Pet Memorials was born. The words “Forever in my Heart” are accompanied by eight paw prints – one for each pet I have lost over the past few years. The shadow boxes are the first items I’ve designed to celebrate the joy that our pets bring to our lives. I look forward to sharing additional creations with you in the near future! Janice

My beautiful, toothless, eight year old diva, Rhea, crossed the rainbow bridge overnight on my bed last Wednesday night.

I returned home from Brazil on Wed & she was so happy to see me. She was fine, cuddled on my lap & purred while enjoying scratches. I am still in shock & waking up to her blank eyes and stiff body will haunt me for a long time.

Rhea was a quirky mama’s girl who followed me everywhere. She would get very vocal & upset when doors were closed or when I’d have a shower. Maybe she thought I was going to disappear?! She hated loud noises or people talking loud & would attack the nearest person or cat. She didn’t have teeth but she certainly had claws!

I miss her waiting for me at the door to return home, having her under my feet all the time, and the way she looked adoringly at me. I loved Diva Rhea’s “cat-ittude” and am so happy I adopted her & I was privileged to have her in my life. She’s now in kitty heaven with my sweet Alani who passed away in February. I wish they would live as long as we do. 😢
