Hi everyone and welcome to Liberty Dobermans! We are in the process of soft launching our socials and wanted to start with a brief introduction!
The passion behind Liberty Dobermans began in 1971, when Daniel Smith got his first dobie puppy. Since then, Dan has won championships at dog shows, participated in Canada-wide health studies with his Dobermans, and has been a breeder for many years.
Why Dobermans? In a nutshell, they combine intelligence, loyalty, and elegance, making them both a loyal family companion and a natural protector. Their sharp minds make them highly trainable, whether it's obedience, protection work, or agility sports. And despite their tough looking exterior, they're affectionate, deeply bonded with their people (hence the nickname "velcro dog" because they love being near/touching their humans), and can be goofy with those they trust. Dobermans strike the perfect balance between guardian and companion- fierce when needed, but loving and gentle at heart.
Liberty Dobermans is located in Airdrie, Alberta and is a championship bloodline. Our Dobermans are known for their excellent temperaments and high intelligence. On average we have 1-2 litters a year and all our puppies come with their first set of shots, dewormed, microchipped, and CKC registered.
