If your dog loves trying different proteins, we have THREE seafood options from grandvalleyquailpettreats hanging on our treat wall, and they each bring something a little different to the snack rotation.

💚 Green Lipped Mussels
More than just a treat! Green lipped mussels are well known for their naturally occurring omega-3s and compounds that can help support healthy joints and mobility.

🦐 Whole Shrimp
Yes, the whole shrimp, head included! A fun, crunchy source of animal protein that can be given whole or broken into smaller pieces. These are also suitable for cats, so they don’t have to miss out on the seafood snacks!

Red, irritated, itchy patches can be uncomfortable for our dogs, and what we see on the skin may only be part of the picture.

“Hot spots” is a common term for areas of inflamed, irritated skin. Dogs may lick, chew, or scratch the area, which can make the irritation worse very quickly. If you notice redness, moisture, hair loss, swelling, an unusual smell, discharge, or an area your dog simply won’t leave alone, it’s worth paying attention.

So, what can cause them?
Hot spots can have many different triggers, including allergies, environmental irritation, parasites, moisture trapped against the skin, grooming issues, or general skin sensitivity. Because there isn’t one single cause, they can vary in how they appear and how quickly they develop.

QUAIL EGGS 🐥
• Small and easy to portion
• Great for small dogs or frequent feeding
• Quality source of protein and healthy fats
• Provide B vitamins, selenium, iron & phosphorus
• Easy way to add variety without adding a lot of extra calories
• Can be fed whole, including the shell if appropriate

DUCK EGGS 🦆
• Much larger than quail or chicken eggs
• Higher calorie option for bigger dogs
• Rich in protein and healthy fats
• Provide B vitamins, selenium, iron & phosphorus
• Larger yolk makes them a rich, nutrient-dense topper

Chicken is a simple, nutritious protein with plenty to offer!
