We’re excited to have Matt from Grassroots K9 GTA joining us this Saturday for Customer Appreciation Day! 🎉🐶

Matt will be offering a GROUP TRAINING CLASS at 1pm where you’ll get the chance to work with your dog on practical obedience and engagement while working around real-life distractions. Whether your dog is still learning the basics or could use some practice staying focused when there’s lots going on around them, Matt will guide you through the exercises and help adjust them to your dog’s individual level

🐕 PLUS, TRAINING EVALUATIONS!
Have something specific you’ve been struggling with? Maybe your dog pulls on leash, gets overly excited around other dogs, has trouble listening with distractions, or you simply aren’t sure what type of training would benefit them most. You’ll have the opportunity to chat one-on-one with Matt about your dog’s behaviour and your training goals. He can assess what you’re seeing, answer questions and help recommend a direction for training. And yes, you’re welcome to bring your dog along for the evaluation! 🐾

👀 NEW from Buddycare!

We’ve added Buddycare Antiseptic Eye Drops to our shelves! A simple one to keep on hand for everyday eye care when your pet’s eyes are looking a little irritated, watery or gunky. 🐶🐱

These gentle eye drops can help:
💧 Soothe irritated & itchy eyes
💧 Flush away dirt, dust & debris
💧 Clean gunky or watery eyes
💧 Support regular eye hygiene
💧 Provide antimicrobial cleansing action

Just 3 simple ingredients, each with a purpose:

💧 Water
Creates the gentle liquid base that helps rinse and flush the eye.

🧂 Salt
Helps create a saline-like solution that is comfortable and compatible with the delicate eye area.

✨ Hypochlorous Acid (150ppm)
A gentle antimicrobial compound that is also naturally produced by the body’s immune system. It helps cleanse the eye area and manage unwanted microorganisms while remaining gentle on delicate tissue.

So while “salt” and “acid” might sound surprising on an ingredient list, their roles in this formula are actually all about creating a gentle, effective eye-cleansing solution. 👀💙

Suitable for dogs, cats and other pets.

Buddycare Antiseptic Eye Drops are available now in store!

That “I definitely deserve another treat” smile 😁🐾

Cooper knows exactly where the treats are when he comes to visit, and you can bet he never forgets! 😂 This happy boy absolutely loves his trips to ADR, and we love seeing that big smile walk through the door.

Safe to say, Cooper has this whole “cute face = more treats” thing figured out 💙

🦐 Seafood treats aren’t just for the humans!

If your dog loves trying different proteins, we have THREE seafood options from grandvalleyquailpettreats hanging on our treat wall, and they each bring something a little different to the snack rotation.

💚 Green Lipped Mussels
More than just a treat! Green lipped mussels are well known for their naturally occurring omega-3s and compounds that can help support healthy joints and mobility.

🦐 Whole Shrimp
Yes, the whole shrimp, head included! A fun, crunchy source of animal protein that can be given whole or broken into smaller pieces. These are also suitable for cats, so they don’t have to miss out on the seafood snacks!

🦑 Squid Rings
Definitely one of the more unique treats on our wall! Squid is a lean seafood protein and naturally contains minerals including zinc, copper and selenium.

All three are freeze-dried, making them an easy way to add a little seafood variety to treat time without having to crack open a can of fish. 😂

💙 Look for the bright blue Grand Valley Quail bags on our treat wall. They’re pretty hard to miss!

🔥 HOT SPOTS: WHAT PET PARENTS SHOULD KNOW 🐾

Red, irritated, itchy patches can be uncomfortable for our dogs, and what we see on the skin may only be part of the picture.

“Hot spots” is a common term for areas of inflamed, irritated skin. Dogs may lick, chew, or scratch the area, which can make the irritation worse very quickly. If you notice redness, moisture, hair loss, swelling, an unusual smell, discharge, or an area your dog simply won’t leave alone, it’s worth paying attention.

So, what can cause them?
Hot spots can have many different triggers, including allergies, environmental irritation, parasites, moisture trapped against the skin, grooming issues, or general skin sensitivity. Because there isn’t one single cause, they can vary in how they appear and how quickly they develop.

🧴 SUPPORTING YOUR DOG’S SKIN COMFORT

At ADR Pet Stores, we have a range of in-store options designed to help support irritated skin, including:
✨ Hot Spot Soother
🧼 Hot Spot Shampoo
🌿 And other skin-support products available in-store

⚠️ WHEN TO SEEK ADVICE
If a hot spot is spreading, very painful, recurring, has discharge or odour, or isn’t improving, it’s important to seek veterinary advice.

💙 WE’RE HERE TO HELP
Not sure what to use or where to start? Pop into your local ADR Pet Store and chat with our team. We’re always happy to help you find supportive options for your dog’s comfort and care.

Which one should you add to your dog’s bowl? Both are nutritious, but they have a few key differences!

QUAIL EGGS 🐥
• Small and easy to portion
• Great for small dogs or frequent feeding
• Quality source of protein and healthy fats
• Provide B vitamins, selenium, iron & phosphorus
• Easy way to add variety without adding a lot of extra calories
• Can be fed whole, including the shell if appropriate

DUCK EGGS 🦆
• Much larger than quail or chicken eggs
• Higher calorie option for bigger dogs
• Rich in protein and healthy fats
• Provide B vitamins, selenium, iron & phosphorus
• Larger yolk makes them a rich, nutrient-dense topper
• Can be fed whole, including the shell if appropriate

QUICK COMPARISON 👇

🐥 Quail: Small • Easy to portion • Great for rotation
🦆 Duck: Large • Richer • More calorie-dense

Which is better?
Neither! They’re simply different options. Rotating eggs can be another easy way to add variety to your dog’s diet.
