Welcome to the pack, Fiona 🌸

Although Fiona was originally used to an indoor daycare environment, her owners were looking for a more personalized and nature-based socialization experience, and watching her transformation has been so rewarding. From shy girl to now an off leash mentor in our group she has already worked with 3 puppies building on their recall, leash skills and socialization.

When Fiona first started with us, she was very shy. We began with leashed private walks so she could slowly build trust with our team and feel comfortable in new environments. From there, she graduated to small groups… and now she’s thriving in full group adventures with all of her friends. 🐾

Fiona may be allergic to absolutely everything 😂 but she is also one of the sweetest girls ever, always ready to play, give kisses, and have a bout of the Zoomies.

Her biggest accomplishment has been interacting with unfamilar humans with confidence.

We are so proud of you, Fiona, and lucky to have you in our pack 🤍

A little reminder that I’ll be taking some much needed time off with my family August 21 to 31. 🤍

We’ve had such an incredible year, and that is entirely because of the amazing support of our clients. We truly pour our hearts into caring for your pets every single day, and while I’m off, I’m looking forward to slowing down and giving that same time and attention to my family. 🥰

Our amazing Dogmother team will be covering all existing scheduled appointments. Response times may be a little slower than usual and last minute requests may not be able to be accommodated.

Wedding Wednesday 🥂

One of the most overlooked parts of planning a destination wedding isn't the flights or the packing... it's knowing your pets are being cared for while you're away. 🤍

When Kristine and Tyler travelled to Costa Rica to celebrate one of the biggest days of their lives, they left with complete peace of mind knowing Blue and Dermis were in loving hands back home.

Although they weren't at the wedding itself, these two are a huge part of their family and even joined them for their engagement photos. Making sure they were happy, comfortable, and cared for while Kristine and Tyler celebrated was something we were honoured to be part of.

We also had the privilege of caring for Kristine's mom's sweet senior dog, Ulli, so their entire family could be fully present, relax, and soak in every moment together.

Whether your pets are part of your wedding day or cheering you on from home, they deserve the same love and care while you're away.

That's exactly why we're here.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to our sweet Rem Rem 🩶

Remi was a shy guy at first, but once you earned his trust, he absolutely adored his ladies. He was the sweetest, silliest boy with the loudest purr and the biggest personality.

His favourite days were spent sunbathing in the solarium, rolling around with his catnip toys, and chasing treats down the hallway. Even though he was a big boy, he somehow always thought there was room to sneak into bed and sleep right on your head. If you gave him a little smack on the bum, you were instantly his favourite person.

Our hearts break for his puppa and for his sister, Lexi, who misses him so much already.

Remi, thank you for letting us love you. It was truly a privilege to care for you, and we'll miss your sweet face, your endless purrs, and all the little things that made you so special.

Run free, handsome boy. We find comfort knowing you're reunited with your mama again. Until we meet again. 🌈🧡

Meet Dolly 🐾

At three years old, this beautiful Persian has a personality as fluffy as her coat. Dolly is working 9-5 giving all the cuteness and silly faces she can. Dolly is the definition of a people cat, wherever you go, she's never far behind, happily following you from room to room just to be close. She lives for cuddles, gentle pets, tasty treats, and a good play session with her favourite toys. Being with her humans is truly her happy place.

While The Dogmother may have "dog" in the name, anyone who knows us knows we're just as obsessed with cats. ❤️ From playful kittens to shy seniors and everyone in between, we love getting to know each cat's unique personality and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away.

We're currently welcoming new cat clients for drop-in visits in Bolton, Caledon, Ottawa, and Gatineau.
