August 8 – Wiener-Paw-Looza, Hamilton, ON
Get ready for adorable wiener races, costume contests, local vendors, and a day supporting rescue dogs.

August 9 – Doggie Fest 2026 (Rescheduled Date), Toronto, ON
A free outdoor celebration featuring pet vendors, contests, giveaways, photo opportunities, and plenty of fun for dogs and their humans.

August 9 – PADS at Playland, Vancouver, BC
Celebrate International Assistance Dog Week with the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society during a family-friendly day at Playland.
Please note: pets aren't permitted at Playland; PADS puppies-in-training and certified Guide and Service Dogs are welcome.

August 15 – Coffees & Canines, Alberta Beach, AB
Enjoy coffee, local vendors, & meet adoptable dogs from Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau.

August 15–16 – Paws in the Peaks Festival, Sun Peaks, BC
A mountain getaway for pet lovers featuring Doga (dog yoga), a pup parade, working dog demonstrations, corgi races, and more.

August 16 – Victoria Day of the Dog, Victoria, BC
Victoria's waterfront will transform into a pet paradise!

August 23 – Pet Expo, Riverview, NB
Meet rescue organizations, browse local pet vendors, and connect with fellow pet enthusiasts at this community pet expo.

August 23 - Pet-a-Palooza Day of the Dog, Vancouver, BC
Takes over Yaletown with giant splash pools and a ton of activities for your pups.
