And Dr. Honda’s day got a whole lot cuter. 🥹

We’re not sure who was happier to see who!

Bennie is such a sweet little pup, as you can see, Dr. Honda was more than happy to sneak in a few extra cuddles during his visit. 🩺🐶

Breaking News 🚨 We found it! 🔍🐾

After following every clue, it was time to look a little deeper… literally.

During exploratory surgery, our team discovered a mass on Jake’s liver, finally giving us an answer that fit with the clues we had been seeing along the way.

Even after a thorough ultrasound, this sneaky little mass had managed to stay hidden.

The mass was successfully removed, and Jake was off to recover. ❤️

We’re hopeful this is the turning point for our sweet boy and can’t wait to see him feeling more like himself again.

The mystery continued… 🤔🐾

Sometimes in veterinary medicine, we feel a little like detectives, following the clues and piecing the puzzle together.

Jake’s case definitely kept us on our toes. He underwent additional diagnostics, including X-rays, an ultrasound, and Leptospirosis testing, but we still hadn’t found what was making him feel so unwell.

Many possibilities had been ruled out, but the answer was still hiding.

Sometimes the clues aren’t obvious… but we weren’t ready to stop searching. 🔍❤️

Following the clues… 🔍🐾

Jake’s bloodwork showed inflammation and elevated liver enzymes, and his blood pressure was high.

The next step was more in-depth testing, including bile acids, thyroid testing, and specialized urine testing. With each result, our doctors gathered more pieces of the puzzle as they continued searching for the cause of Jake’s illness.

Our clinic manager Jaimi brought her dog Jake in after noticing a swollen lymph node. Our first step was a thorough exam, along with bloodwork and a blood pressure check, to start gathering clues about what was going on.

And you insist on supervising from the emotional support shelf. 👀

Samwise: “I’m the patient.”

Momo, Milo, and Mason: “Us.” 🐶🐶🐶

Apparently the scale works better as a group project. We tried explaining that weigh-ins are usually one at a time, but this trio had already made their decision. 😂

Safe to say they aced the teamwork portion of today’s visit… even if we still had to convince them to step off one by one.
