Now it’s Mama’s turn to find her forever home. 🤍🐾

After doing such an amazing job raising her babies, this sweet girl is ready for a loving home of her own. She is an absolute sweetheart and deserves a family who will spoil her just as much as she deserves.

Mama has received her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines as well as deworming. Before heading to her new home, she will also be viral screened and spayed.

She has so much love to give and we would love nothing more than to see her find her perfect forever family. 🥹🤍

Thank you, Dr. Gomes! 💙

This month we say a (temporary!) farewell to Dr. Aaron Gomes as he steps away from his full-time role with our hospital. Over the past year, Dr. Gomes has brought skill, compassion, and dedication to our patients and our team, and we are so grateful for everything he’s contributed.

Next up for Dr. Gomes: some well-deserved travel, continuing education/ mentorship, and veterinary work in other communities. We can’t wait to hear about his adventures!

And the best news? Dr. Gomes will be rejoining us on a locum basis starting in November. 🎉

🐾We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Manjot Grewal is joining our team as an associate veterinarian! Growing up in Brampton, Ontario, Dr. Grewal has always had a deep passion for animals, which is evident from her extensive experience in the shelter world prior to becoming a veterinarian.

Dr. Grewal began her career in emergency medicine in downtown Toronto before transitioning to general practice after moving to Hamilton in 2020 with her husband, Michael. They welcomed their first son, Kiaan, in 2020, followed by another boy, Veyd, in 2022.

At home, Dr. Grewal shares her life with her beloved pets: Toby, a 12-year-old brown tabby, and Crockett, a lively 2-year-old Pomeranian mix. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include preventative care, behavior, and dentistry.

In her spare time, Dr. Grewal enjoys exploring local coffee shops, experimenting with vegan recipes, taking walks with Crockett, and spending quality time with her family.

We are so excited to have Dr. Grewal join our community and look forward to the compassion and expertise she brings to our practice. Please join us in welcoming her to the Nelson Animal Hospital family!❤️🐾
