As Labor Day weekend approaches, we wanted to share this beautiful note that we received from Ellen, a veterinary student who joined us for her second summer…. “I am so grateful for my time here at MacKay’s Animal Hospital. I was able to learn so much from every member of the team. The highlight of my experience was being able to reconnect with patients and clients I had met last summer, and seeing how they’ve grown in the last year. I am incredibly appreciative of the patience and kindness that our clientele showed me while I learned. Of all my placements, this hospital sticks in my memory as one with an incredible sense of community, integrity, and warmth. Thank you to all those at MacKay’s and hope to see you again in my future career as a veterinarian.”
We wish Ellen the very best as she returns to OVC. It was an absolute pleasure having her with us again this summer.

While it's funny when they give you those irresistible puppy eyes, remember that many common sandwich ingredients, including onions, garlic, grapes, and xylitol-containing products, can be dangerous for dogs.
