🐾 CANINE CLASSROOM: MIKA! 🐾

If there’s a party happening, you can bet Mika is at the centre of it. 🎉 This girl is quite LITERALLY everyone’s best friend!

Anxious? New? Unsure? A little too confident? Mika somehow has a way of making almost every dog come out of their shell — or get over themselves — simply by being unapologetically Mika. 🤪

But don’t let that sweet face fool you… this girl likes what she likes! If Mika has decided she wants to be outside, you better believe she’s going to make you work EXTRA hard to convince her that whatever you’re asking is actually worth doing. 🤪

And she has BIG feelings. When those feelings get hurt, she has absolutely ZERO problem letting you know about it. Huskies gonna husky. 🤷‍♀️

She’s sweet, stubborn, hilarious, social, and just the right amount of dramatic. Basically, the perfect husky. ❤️

🎃👻 OUR ANNUAL HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST IS BACK! 👻🎃

It’s time to get those pups dressed up! From October 18th–30th, dress your dog in their best Halloween costume for their daycare day or walk with us! 🐶🎃

We’ll be capturing all the spooky, silly and downright ridiculous costumes along the way, and once the dress-up period is over, voting polls will open! 🗳️

🏆 The winner will take home a $50 gift card to Potato & Co. • Dog Harness Canada • Custom Apparel Canada 🐶🐾!!

So start planning… because we want to see your dog’s BEST Halloween look! 👻🎃

And yes, ridiculous costumes are highly encouraged. 😂

🍁 CANINE CLASSROOM: MAPLE 🍁

This week’s classroom star is Maple! And honestly… this girl is an absolute NUT BALL. 😂

One minute she’s running around like she has absolutely no thoughts behind those eyes, and 20 minutes later she’s curled up looking like a literal loaf of bread. 🍞

Maple has a little bit of stranger danger, especially when
it comes to men — but like… girl, same. 😂 She likes to take her time deciding if you’re worthy of her presence.

She is SO much fun, has the biggest personality, and if you’re around Maple, just know you are probably being watched. 👀

And judged.

And probably eye-rolled at. 🙄

She’s the kind of girl who will silently observe the entire situation and make sure you know exactly what she thinks about it.

We love our little Maple loaf! 🍁🤎

🎓 CANINE CLASSROOM: TULI 🎓

Meet our little spunky girl, Tuli! 🩷

When Tuli first came to us, the pack was a lot for her. She had some big anxiety, was unsure about a lot of new things, and wasn’t quite sure what to make of this crazy group of dogs.

Watching her slowly grow in confidence, come out of her shell, and become the goofy, spunky girl we know today has been such a rewarding (and honestly, really fun) journey. 🥹

Tuli LOVES place, playing with her Husky friends, and is a HUGE fan of Harley 😂. She’s also obsessed with our creek and could probably spend all day down there if we let her!

But one of my favourite things about Tuli is how loyal she is to her people. Once she decides you’re her person, you’re pretty special to her — and I’m very happy to think I’m one of them. 🥹🩷

We’re so proud of how far this little girl has come. Watching a dog gain confidence and discover that the world isn’t quite as scary as it once seemed is one of the best parts of what we do.

Keep being you, Tuli. Spunky, silly, loyal, and just a little bit obsessed with Harley. 😂🐾

📚🐾 Welcome to the Canine Classroom! 🐾📚

We’re giving our social media a little revamp! Starting with something we’ve been wanting to do for a while… weekly introductions to the dogs who make Tails & Trails what it is! 🐶❤️

Every week, we’ll be putting one of our canine classroom members in the spotlight so you can get to know the personalities, quirks, and stories behind the faces you see around here!

So… class is officially in session! 🎓

✨Bailey✨is our fun-loving, sweet, and slightly awkward Husky mix! 💕

She’s a submissive girl who LOVES to play… even if she doesn’t always quite know how to make that happen 😂. Her goofy personality is definitely part of her charm!

When she’s not hanging out with her friends, Bailey loves going on hikes with her mom and exploring the outdoors. But honestly, she’s just as happy spending the day curled up on the couch, watching reality TV and getting all the cuddles. 🥰

Our hip thrusting girl, Bailey, is one of a kind and we wouldn’t have her any other way! 😂💗

Special thank you to Baileys mom as well, as she will be helping us with our social media!! 🤍

🐾 **Welcome to the Tails & Trails family!** 🐾

We are SO excited to introduce some of the new faces who have joined us this summer! 💕 We feel incredibly lucky to get to know each of these dogs and their families, and we can’t wait to watch them grow, learn, and build confidence with us.

While we *do* accept new clients, we are very intentional about **when and how** we bring new dogs into our programs.

We cap our numbers because our priority will always be making sure the individual needs of every dog in our care are being met. That means we are not always accepting new clients & dogs. We may also ask for a different starting point or a slower transition based on the individual dog!

Every dog is different. Some may jump right in, while others need more time, structure, individual training, or a gradual introduction before they are ready to fully join the group. 🐶

We believe a successful transition should be happy, safe, and set up for success — not rushed just to fill a spot.

So to all of our new members this summer: **WELCOME!** We are so happy you’re here! 🐾❤️

And to our existing Tails & Trails family, thank you for trusting us with your dogs and allowing us to continue keeping their needs at the heart of everything we do.
