Memory flashback from 8 years ago today!

I was gearing up and getting ready for the annual K9Crusaders fall festival. Funny enough, I had ordered all this straw to make this display from the handsome farmer down the road. Who would’ve thought buying the straw would lead us to becoming best friends and then husband and wife. And now this year, there will be no harvest festival as we get ready to welcome our little bundle into the world. (Don’t worry, there’s always next year! 🎃)

Seeing this photo makes me smile for so many reasons. Our new start in Castleton with a brand new fresh kennel built for my beautiful clients, a budding new relationship with the best person I know, continuing support for a rescue that is near and dear to my heart. A lot can happen in 8 years! I am thankful for this journey and the journeys yet to come…

Now, with that said, I hope you all have a great long weekend and end of your summer! I’ll be enjoying my day off today hanging out with the dogs with no schedule in mind and filling the farm stand with some goodies for our neighbors. 🐾❤️

Tonight we are open from 4 to 5pm for drop off and pick up. Closed Saturday. Sunday 9-12 and 4-5. Closed a Monday(NO shuttle). Regular hours Tuesday 🐾

This is also another gentle reminder that if you have holiday plans, please book it ASAP. With my maternity leave starting December 20 we will be closed for the first time in 11 years over the holidays. We will be back open February 20 just in time for March break shenanigans. So please make sure that you book either before or after the closure dates to ensure I have a spot for you 🥰

Came up on my memories this morning!
9 years ago, I was 25 years old and the kennel building was starting to take shape at the new property in Castleton. I was so excited, but honestly scared sh*tless as it was the most expensive venture I’ve ever taken on and I was hoping everything would work out. We blew through Covid without a hitch because my clients are absolutely awesome. Gave up many weekends and trips away to stay home and build this business further. I paid off the build and now just get to enjoy going to work with the dogs every day. The best risk I’ve ever taken. I would do it again 1 million times over ❤️🐾

We decided to make the call that daycare will be closed today due to the awful air quality outside. Tomorrow will be a better day, I hope!
