🐾❤️ BE CAPRI’S HERO — HELP HER GET THE SURGERY SHE NEEDS! 💔🐾

🙏 Our goal is $3,000 to give Capri a more comfortable, pain-free life. Can you help us get there?

Meet Capri, our beautiful 1-year-old ambassador! ❤️ Although Capri, whose shelter name was Ugg, is no longer a resident of SHAID, she was adopted by one of our dedicated staff members because of her special needs. She continues to come to work with us, helping with school presentations, welcoming donors, and soon bringing smiles to seniors in our community. 🥰
But behind that sweet face is a heartbreaking struggle. 💔

Capri was born missing parts of both of her hind legs. As she has grown, the pressure and friction from scooting around have caused the skin on her stumps to split repeatedly. Her right hind limb stump has now split open FOUR TIMES. 😢🐾

As you can see in our video, Capri uses her own unique way of getting around, but the constant friction puts painful pressure on her delicate skin. Her family has been doing their best to keep her quiet and limit her activity to help protect her stump, but this is not the quality of life this sweet girl deserves.

❤️ THERE IS HOPE FOR CAPRI!

To stop this painful cycle, Capri needs a full amputation of her right hind limb. The estimated cost of her surgery is $3,000. This procedure will help prevent these repeated wounds and give Capri the opportunity to live more comfortably, with much less pain.
Capri has already overcome so much in her short life. Despite her challenges, she continues to share her love, brighten our days, and make a difference in the lives of everyone she meets. Now, it's our turn to be there for her. ❤️

Today, we want to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to the wonderful residents of Bonny Lea Farm for donating p*e pads and cozy blankets to our shelter animals! 🐶🐱🧡

These thoughtful donations make such a difference in the daily care and comfort of the animals in our care, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity.
