This is love. โค๏ธ
Recently, I had the privilege of capturing an Equine Celebration of Life session for Cutter and his people, Maddie and Cherie.
Cutter is an incredibly special guy. Not many horses get to spend their entire lives with the same family. He was born on Cherie's farm, and eventually Cherie passed him down to her granddaughter, Maddie โ who now has a little one of her own on the way. โจ๏ธโค๏ธ
Three generations. 25 years. One very loved horse.
As they prepare for Cutter's journey over the rainbow bridge, we wanted to capture all of the little things that tell his story โ the details that will someday bring comfort when they miss his nuzzle, the sound of his breath, the warmth of his presence after a long day, and the steady reliability of a good old boy.
Because old horses are comfort. They're safety. They're wisdom. They're the ones who have seen us through different versions of ourselves and quietly stood beside us through it all.
And we love them. โค๏ธ
For now, Cutter is soaking up every bit of love from his family after an incredible 25 years of being so very, very loved. Getting to document a little piece of that story was truly something special. โจ๏ธ
Equine and Canine Celebration of Life sessions are quickly becoming one of the most meaningful parts of my photography journey.
I believe these stories are worth telling. Old horses and old dogs have some of the deepest, most beautiful connections with their humans โ built over years of ordinary days, routines, adventures, hard seasons and quiet moments.
Those relationships deserve to be celebrated, documented and remembered. ๐
