PUPPIES, PUPPIES, PUPPIES!

We were feeling pretty lucky this week when we got to welcome not one, but TWO adorable litters of puppies to the clinic! Needless to say, our doctors were officially in puppy heaven.

These little bundles of wiggles, cuddles, and puppy breath were here for their very first vaccines and some important first steps toward a happy, healthy life!

We just had to share a few photos because… well, LOOK AT THOSE FACES!

Just a reminder: This is simply a post celebrating two adorable litters who visited our clinic. We are not posting a “for sale” ad, and the puppies are not available through us. We just couldn’t resist sharing the cuteness!

We can’t wait to see you at the Paris Fair today! Stop by and visit us at the Teddy Bear Clinic, where young attendees can bring their favourite stuffed friends in for a checkup. And be sure to cheer on our very own Dr. Kelly Lawn as she judges the Youth Pet Show shortly. We’ll see you there!

Meet Archer. Tiny tuxedo. HUGE personality.

At just 12 weeks old, Archer has already decided that the world is his personal playground—and possibly his all-you-can-eat buffet.

This spunky little domestic shorthair is currently busy investigating everything, eating everything, and attempting to befriend his new big-cat sister, Penny, whether she has agreed to the arrangement or not.

His hobbies include:
Eating like he’s never been fed in his life
Battling his beloved toy lizard like it owes him money
Learning about the mysterious wonders of the world (mostly cabinets and cardboard boxes)
Following Penny around in hopes that she’ll realize they are, obviously, best friends now

Penny remains cautiously unconvinced. Archer remains completely confident.

We loved meeting you Archer! We can't wait to watch you grow.

Leia is 16 weeks old and has never experienced autumn before (obviously), but we have a feeling she is going to love it more than she can fathom.

After all, this fluffy Bernese Mountain Dog already has a serious passion for collecting fallen leaves. Just imagine her delight when the whole world suddenly becomes covered in them.

Her first autumn is going to be full of crisp leaves, big adventures, plenty of collecting, and, of course, the occasional nibble on her owners’ ears. We cannot wait to watch her discover her favourite season.

Long weekend = long naps, extra cuddles, and a well-deserved break for our team!

Shellard Lane Animal Hospital will be CLOSED this upcoming Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for the long weekend.

Friendly reminder: If your furry family members need any food or medications, please be sure to pick them up by Friday so you’re all set for the long weekend!

We’ll be back to our regular hours in on Tuesday, refreshed and ready to care for all your favourite furry family members.

Meet Akame, a sweet 2-year-old Bombay with a big heart and an even bigger love for her family. She’s happiest when she’s spending time with her favourite people, keeping a close eye on the birds and squirrels outside, or having a playful session with her beloved feather toy. Curious, affectionate, and full of personality, Akame brings a little more joy and a lot of love wherever she goes.
