Surgical services include dentals, orthopedics, c sections, cherry eye, gastropexy etc. Beattie Animal Hospital has been serving Brantford and surrounding communities for over 60 years. We have currently have five locations: Brantford, Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Burlington and East Hamilton.

ATTENTION - FOUND A DOG

We are searching for the owners of this dog who was found around Nelson street in Brantford. She appears to be a senior shepherd cross with a very friendly disposition. There is no microchip present. She is currently safe at Beattie Animal Hospital and we are seeking the communities help to reunite her with her family.

This fun Friday post is all about TURTLE POWER, and the amazing people who make it happen. Beattie Animal Hospital has partnered with the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre to be a safe place for turtles who have been injured to receive care. Our team provides stabilization and care for injured turtles who will then be transported to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre in Peterborough for continued rehabilitation. Thank you to the wonderful members of the community who volunteer to make sure these turtles arrive safely to us and for those who operate the turtle taxi to transport these turtles to Peterborough. 💚🐢

Please join us in wishing our wonderful assistant Claire the best of luck as she embarks on a new journey in England where she will be attending veterinary school to become a veterinarian!

Many of you have probably encountered Claire at the clinic, whether on the phone booking an appointment, greeting you during your appointment or updating you on your pets surgical recovery —- she can do it all!

Claire is a compassionate, hard working and talented individual and we can’t wait to see all the wonderful things she will continue to do for patients and pet parents as a veterinarian.

It’s another feel Good Friday and we wanted to share with you a story of compassion, dedication and the kind hearts that exist right here in our Brantford community. A Good Samaritan called the clinic because he found two young kittens abandoned and wanted them to be seen and cared for. With the help of another amazing Good Samaritan who is a client of ours, these kittens were both seen and connected with a local rescue. These kittens needed vet care because as you can see, the little black and white girl had a suspicious wound on her neck. After examination by our team, it was discovered this was not just a normal wound but instead it was the result of a bot fly parasite actively living in her skin! The parasite was removed and this little girl was started on meds and is expected to make a full healthy recovery. The best news of all is that these two babies will be adopted out together by a family member of one of our staff! They get to stay together and grow up in our Beattie family all because of the amazing work of caring pet people in the Brantford community! Isn’t it amazing all the wonderful things that can happen when people work together! Meet Hansel and Gretel, two very lucky kittens!

Meatball, the raspberry eating monster came in for his first puppy groom with Kristen! He wanted to show everyone what his day was like and how much fun he had. His mama is our very own Dr. Lima-Eede and she was so proud of her little guy 🩵

Did you know, it’s very important to get puppies desensitized and comfortable with the groomers from an early age so that it is a positive experience for the rest of their lives!

In honour of cat appreciation day, we thought we’d give an update on the orphan kitten that our assistant Sarah has been raising. Remember the little kitten in the first picture? Well take a look at her now! At 7 weeks old she is THRIVING! She’s learning how to be a real cat and is incredibly brave and playful. The love, care and knowledge Sarah has for this little kitten have helped raise her to be a healthy kitten! Well done Sarah!
