Sato Saved End of the Line Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation is a privately run home and foster-based not for profit rescue located in the Brantford area, but extending all over Ontario and beyond. We take in dogs that are at the "end of the line" or extreme risk/medical cases and some behavioural cases if we have space and foster ability. Here at Sato Saved End of the line dog rescue, We specialize i

n raising litters with mamas with behavioural issues, ensuring post whelp spays, hand raising orphans and neonatals with health issues. We also give priority to fearful and timid dogs who are declining in shelters or puppies in need of proper starts. We strongly believe in creating a proper foundation at an early age to avoid adolescent dogs being surrendered with a lack of training. Breaking the shelter/surrender cycle is very important to us and training, socializing, and raising your dog right from the start avoids so many issues/risks in the future. We provide lifetime support to all our adoptive families and have a wonderful community support system that helps us fund our missions.

Its Friday and a long weekend and also the end of what feels like the shortest summer ever.

With daily routines resuming next week and school starting for many families things will start to feel a bit more "normal" and as our schedules change and become consumed with fall activities there is an annual trend we see in rescue about to start too.

We face the reality of round 2 of unwanted litters.
with litters being born from summer heats right about Now- theyll be needing homes in 6 to 8 weeks. October tends to be one of the busiest months of the year around here and it definitely doesnt seem to be slowing down.

This week we are intaking Aloha from a Canadian shelter passed Ottawa. This momma lab x arrived heavily pregnant and gave birth on Tuesday morning.
She is arriving next week with her 1 week old puppies on a planned transport.

We will be looking for homes for her 5 puppies in 2 months time. But for now- we need support to keep them fed , vetted and get them started on a bright path.

Aloha is one of the at least 50 surrender requests we recieved last week.

We had already agreed to welcome 6 other puppies next week- which is a story for another day.... but these 5 really needed us too.

This girl was at risk- shes scared- she deserves a safe clean home to raise her babies in.

Aloha will have all of the things shes never had and get the best care possible. And when her babies wean, she will get spayed so she never has to worry about another litter or puppies again. And we hope to find her forever family too. We have heard nothing but incredible things about her from the shelter staff. We cant wait to finally meet her.

Enzo has cancer.
And he has no home 💔

We dont know how long he has
We just know he has no idea and he deserves a future that involves spoiling and loving.

We are looking for a family willing to take in a Palative dog and with our help and support, give him the next best few years/months that he has left

He could have 3 or 5 years... he could have 6 months

We really cant even guess because he has 2 different types of cancer.

We are discussing treatment options but wont be doing anything to cause suffering.

Hes had the tumours removed and has great quality of life now

Heartworm and allergy free. He just wants to live life to the fullest

If you think you could fill the position of forever Enzo lover and caregiver... we will supply all of his vet care moving forward. We will supply food. And prevention. No adoption fee.

Enzo is good with calm large dogs
No small breeds
Only dog savvy cats who have their own space
He prefers a home without a crate. Someone home more then not. If you work all day and nobody is home its probably not the right fit

Just had his heartworm test and vaccines all updated and is on monthly prevention

Spencer is a giant love bug who is just waiting for a family to call his own
He spent the last 2 years in a kennel and just wants to be a house dog.
Hes house trained. Great in a crate.
Laid back. Lives for belly rubs
He needs a home with some room for him to romp and play. A secure fenced yard
Hes okay with dog savvy cats.
No small dogs.
He does well with other large dogs. (Plays well with neutered males and spayed female dogs)
Hes best suited with children 10 and up

He would prefer a home where someone is home, but would be okay for a work day hanging out too.

Hss recovering from an ear infection and is a wee bit on the chubby side but he is a big healthy boy and has lots of life left.

Don't let his 5 years of age deter you- he is worth it!!
