Show season is upon us… are you ready to go?
If you already show at local shows, open shows, 4-H shows, breed shows, or ranch horse events, a virtual show can be a very useful tool — not a replacement for live showing, but a way to get more out of the work you are already doing.
At many smaller local shows, you may not always have the opportunity to be judged by an accredited judge or industry professional. You may get a placing, maybe a score sheet, maybe not. And if something goes wrong or you DQ, you may not get much feedback past that point.
That is where a virtual show can really help.
With Ranch Riding & More Virtual Show Series, your entry is judged by an accredited judge. And with our tiered pricing options, you can choose what works best for you — from a simple judged entry to an option that includes more detailed feedback.
If you choose the feedback option, you receive feedback on your entry regardless of whether you place, have a bobble, or even DQ. That way, the ride can still become a learning opportunity instead of just a disappointing result.
Another big advantage?
You have the video.
You can watch your own ride, compare it to your score or feedback, and see what the judge was seeing. Then, if you work with a coach, you can take that same video and feedback to your next lesson so you have a clear starting point for what to improve.
That means your virtual show entry becomes more than just a class.
It becomes a practical learning tool:
• ride the pattern
• receive your score or feedback
• review your video
• take it to your coach
• polish the details before your next live show
For riders who don’t often have access to accredited judging, this can be a valuable opportunity.
And for riders who do travel to bigger shows — we all know that gets expensive fast.
Fuel, stalls, entries, hotels, time off work, hauling, meals, prep… it all adds up. If you want to try a new class, move up a level, test a pattern, or polish your horse between shows, a virtual show gives you a chance to do that before you spend the big money getting there.
In our part of the country, shows are not always close together. So when you do get to a breed show or a bigger event, you want to arrive as prepared as possible — not use the first class as the practice run.
Virtual showing gives you a chance to:
• get judged by an accredited judge
• choose the feedback option that suits your goals
• receive feedback even if the ride doesn’t go as planned
• review your video alongside your score or comments
• take the video and feedback to your coach
• try a new class or level
• polish patterns between live shows
• participate even when travel, work, cost, or responsibilities make showing difficult
It is not about replacing the live show experience.
It is about helping you make the most of it.
Practice like it matters.
Show like it’s fun.
Ranch Riding & More Virtual Show Series welcomes riders from all locations and all levels, with in-hand, walk/trot, and ridden options available.
