After a monumental 20 years with Grand Valley Animal Clinic, Dr. Joe Gray is starting a brand-new adventure!

Let’s take a trip down memory lane to celebrate an incredible career:

1992: Dr. Gray earned his BVSc degree at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Following graduation, he completed his compulsory military service working with Police Dogs at the South Africa Police Dog Breeding Facility and hospital.
2006: Dr. Gray, his wife, and their two children moved to Canada where he obtained his DVM and immediately joined the GVAC family.
2008: Just two years later, Dr. Gray became the sole owner of Grand Valley Animal Clinic until 2016 when Dr. Sempers and Dr. Beckwith joined as owners alongside Dr.Gray.

Over the past two decades, Dr. Gray has had the absolute privilege of caring for countless pets and building deep, lasting connections with their incredible families. While we’ll miss seeing him in the halls, his accomplishments, dedication, and lively personality will always be felt throughout our clinic.
Although he’s looking forward to more flexibility with his family, he isn't ready to say goodbye to veterinary medicine entirely! Dr. Gray plans to travel, take on locum work, and pursue volunteer opportunities across Canada. 🧳🇨🇦
