CLINIC CLOSURE AND SOME THANK YOU NOTES: While you may still see us around town doing some errands before the business is sold we are officially closed now. I want to do a few shout outs and thank you notes.
Thank you to Carol Lowery and Jonathan Pabalan. and former staff like Jolene, Judy, Brooke, etc. The amount of praise I have heard from clients about our staff has been heartwarming and is a testament to their hard work for the team. I couldn't have done it without you (and wouldn't have wanted to). Wishing you all the best in your new ventures as well. Also volunteers and friends that have helped out as well.. Anezka, Autumn, Sheila, Melanie, and Brett. Thanks so much for getting me through those times when short staffed.
Thank you to my wonderful clients. When I talk to my colleagues I always say we have the best clients. The cards, emails, flowers, yummy treats and kind words this last week is a testament to how awesome you all are. I have been there for beginnings to end of life for many of your pets and I feel we have really got to know so many of you. We have shared our life ups and downs. We have contemplated the meaning of things at all kind of odd hours. We have shared pictures of gory things and pee/poop /vomit etc lol. We have shared smiles and tears. I have suffered through burn out twice in my career. I was laid off and absolutely devastated by it (totally turned out for the best though). I have had days where things were pretty dark. Your kind words and actions over the past 11 yrs has got me through things. Some of you have shown incredible kindness at times when you were suffering greatly. Please know how appreciated you are. Hoping you and your fur babies go forward living your best life. I hope to hear updates on your pets in the future and hope to see you around.
There are a few businesses that we have worked with and really want to say thanks to. First, Peaceful Valley Pet Crematorium. They have looked after our clients final wishes for the whole 11 years of our business. They provided top notch customer service, always tried to accommodate special requests, and always returned ashes in a short period. It has been a pleasure to work with you. You are a wonderful team! Best wishes.
Wheat City Vet Clinic.. you all rock. When you have a one person practice it can be difficult to stock things without them expiring. Wheat City was always willing to share a tray of vaccines or if we were short stocked sell us what we needed. When I was away they have fit in clients for us and we have for them as well. As vets we can, and should, work together like this for our patients. Been a pleasure all :) Wishing you all the best as you go forward.
Carberry Vet Clinic has also been quite cooperative with some shared patients and helping us get set up with dental xrays etc. Dr. Marie even took time out of a busy day to demonstrate her digital xray system to us. Wishing her and all the staff there the best.
Another organization that I want to do a big shout out to is One At A Time Rescue. We have been through a lot together too. Some sad cases but also some really happy ones too. I have been so impressed with this rescue and over my 25 yrs as a vet I have dealt with a lot of rescues. You have always treated me and our staff with kindness and respect. The care that their orphan pets get is second to none. So I would highly recommend all you animal lovers out their support this rescue.
Last but not least my hubby Brian. He did not plan to be an after hours vet assistant or mobile clinic fixer of everything but he has. I am very lucky to have someone like him who always said yes he could help. He is off fishing but when he gets back please give him a pat on the back.
Not sure what the next chapter brings but looking forward to finding out. Please take care and continue to be awesome folks.
Liana (and Peanut and Bones and Brian)
