šŸŒ§ļø The rain has arrived with drama, thunder with opinions, and somewhere in the middle of it all… our internet appears to have taken a personal day.

As a result, our phones and email are currently down, and response times may be a little slower while the storm works through its feelings.

We appreciate your patience as we wait for calmer skies (and cooperative technology) to return. ā˜”šŸ’»āš”

To all the moms doing the impossible every single day; the ones balancing careers, school drop offs, late night studying, sports schedules, hospital visits, laundry piles, dinner plans, and somehow still showing up with love.

To the moms carrying guilt for the moments they miss, while quietly sacrificing sleep, energy, and pieces of themselves to build a better life for their families.

To the stepmoms, grandmas, bonus moms, pet moms, grieving moms, single moms, working moms, stay-at-home moms, and every woman mothering through exhaustion and chaos, you are seen.

The world may only notice the big moments, but your children will remember the consistency, the effort, the safe place you created, and the love you poured into them every single day.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women holding it all together, even when it feels like everything is pulling you apart. You are stronger than you know, and more appreciated than you realize. šŸ’

Happy Birthday to Chantel, the heart behind so many wagging tails, purring recoveries, and calm moments in the clinic. Your compassion for every patient, dedication to every team member, and ability to bring comfort (and laughter!) during stressful days never go unnoticed.

Veterinary medicine asks for long hours, resilience, empathy, and patience and you bring all of it every single day. We are lucky to have a vet assistant who works as hard as she cares.

Wishing you a birthday filled with laughter, good food, well-deserved relaxation, and all the love you give to others returned right back to you. šŸ¾šŸŽ‚šŸ’™

Happy 17th Birthday, Tweety. šŸ¾šŸ’›

It’s been a privilege to be part of your journey. Seventeen years is no small milestone; it reflects a lifetime of care, resilience, and a whole lot of personality.

You’ve reminded us that great medicine is about more than numbers and notes, it’s about comfort, trust, and the quiet bond we build with patients like you over time.

Today, my only prescription: extra treats (within reason šŸ˜‰), warm naps, and doing exactly as you please.

Here’s to the golden years, lived well and loved deeply. 😸✨

World Veterinary Day always lands a little differently when you’re in it day in and day out.

It’s the early mornings before the doors open and the late nights after everyone’s gone home. It’s the cases that go exactly to plan and the ones that stay with you long after. It’s balancing medicine, emotion, and responsibility in a way no textbook can fully prepare you for.

And it serves as a reminder to the public that veterinarians are essential to protecting both animal and human health. From preventive care and food safety to zoonotic disease control, this role reaches far beyond the exam room.

Veterinary medicine isn’t just about animals. It’s about the people who love them, the trust they place in us, and the weight of getting it right when it matters most.

This work is demanding, technical, emotional, and deeply human. And it matters more than most people will ever fully see.

Happy World Veterinary Day 🐾

Reception Week is here, and we’re taking a moment to recognize the person who keeps everything moving, Erika!

If you’ve ever called us in a panic, been squeezed into a full schedule, or needed a calm voice on a hard day, you’ve already experienced what she does best.

Erika is the front line of our hospital. She manages the chaos, protects our flow, advocates for our patients, and somehow still makes every client feel heard and cared for. That balance isn’t luck, it’s skill, it’s personal and professional growth, it’s magic.

In veterinary medicine, reception isn’t ā€œjust answering phones.ā€ It’s triage, communication, emotional intelligence, compassion and operational control all happening at once. And Erika does it exceptionally well.

We truly could not survive without her.

Thank you for everything you do, Erika, not just this week, but every single day.

Share your love for Erika, let her know how much she’s loved and appreciated!

As Embleton Veterinary Hospital, we believe strongly in supporting other small businesses that are just as passionate about what they do.

A big thank you to for the stunning full leather harness and leash for Al-Malik. The quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail truly stand out; built for performance, but beautiful enough to turn heads anywhere.

It means a lot to support businesses that take such pride in their work. We’re proud to stand behind products we trust, both as professionals and as dog owners.

ā€œGonna need a little helpā€¦ā€ šŸŽ¶

This weekend, we made the decision to remove a registered show cat from an event after identifying ear mites during evaluation.

We understand the time and effort that goes into preparing for a show, which makes decisions like this especially difficult. However, our responsibility remains the same in every case:

🐾 Patient Welfare
Ear mites are uncomfortable and irritating. The noise, handling, and stimulation of a show environment can worsen that distress.

🐾 Contagion Risk
Ear mites are highly contagious and can spread quickly in a show setting where animals are in close proximity.

🐾 Responsibility to the Community
As event veterinarians, our role is to protect the health of all animals in attendance—without exception, regardless of registration or competition status.

Please Note
All animals entered into shows are expected to be clinically healthy and free of contagious conditions.

Veterinary decisions made on-site are final and are based on patient welfare and public health. We ask that these decisions are respected and not argued.

Thank you for helping us keep all pets safe, comfortable, and show-ready 🐾
