The colours bring to mind cinnamon, caramel apples, falling maple leaves .......

This is what life at SeaSage Cottage looks like. Beau front and centre lol along with multiple WIP. Work in progress!
I have a new autumn tones finger knit chunky blanket, yarn for October special projects, a neutral throw I am crocheting and my October pumpkin patch prototype.
What do you think of my pumpkin? I am hoping it creates some fun decorating ideas.

Every crafter needs a supervisor.

Mine takes her job very seriously.

Most evenings you'll find me with something in my hands while we're watching TV, and Ripple is usually close by making sure everything meets her standards.

This little corner of SeaSage Cottage is where much of it begins. Yarn within reach, something always in progress and, just outside those windows, the garden that inspires so many of the colours I put together.

Blankets are what you've been seeing most lately, but they're only part of what I make. I knit, crochet and quilt, and there are usually pet mats and beds tucked somewhere amongst the works in progress too.

I've always loved making things. SeaSage is simply giving me a place to gather all of those things together.

Under Ripple's careful supervision, of course. ❤️

Faded Roses

These colours remind me of an English garden at the end of summer. Dusty rose, faded pink and little touches of cream, all worked together into one wonderfully soft, chunky throw.

This one turned out even prettier than I imagined. I especially love how the different yarns created their own pattern as I worked. No two sections are quite the same. The solid pink is an especially soft and fluffy yarn.

Handmade here at SeaSage Cottage, one row at a time.

Faded Roses is available.

Do you think the name is the right one?

I love how AI captured the feeling behind this blanket because I can assure you, there is definitely no fire burning in our house in August!

This is Cocoa Cashmere. Rich chocolate and cream, wonderfully thick and textured, and made for slow mornings, rainy afternoons and quiet nights when you want something substantial to wrap around you.

The setting may be imagined, but the blanket, the work and the feeling behind it are very real.

Cocoa Cashmere is one of the pieces helping to shape SeaSage Creations: handmade pieces inspired by the colours and comfort of forest, sea and sky.

What does it make you think of? Coffee by the fire, a rainy-day book or a quiet evening by the coast?

Meet Home Field

This custom blanket was made for a much-loved dad who is presently in hospital. He always feels the cold, especially with the air conditioning running, and because he is a big football fan, his daughter (Sue Lindsay) chose deep navy, warm rust and soft oatmeal for his blanket.

The colours took me outside my usual SeaSage palette, but that is part of what makes custom work so meaningful. I wasn’t making a blanket for my home. I was making one especially for him.

It has the colours and spirit of game day, plenty of weight and warmth and, most importantly, a little of the comfort of home to carry into his hospital room.

Home Field. Warmth from the home team.

It is now packed and ready to go. I hope it keeps him cosy through many football games and reminds him that his own home team is always in his corner.

What colours would you choose to wrap someone you love in a little piece of home?

Something lovely has grown from Cosy Canine Creations.

When I shared the last blanket I made, it sold within seconds. The response showed me that there was interest in more than pieces made especially for dogs. People wanted beautiful, useful handmade things for themselves and their homes too.

Cosy Canine Creations is therefore becoming **SeaSage Creations**.

The new name feels much more like me. It is inspired by the colours and textures of Vancouver Island, the sea, forest and sky, and by the simple pleasure of making something beautiful by hand.

I don’t have a collection waiting to be sold just yet. I am currently working on a custom order, and everything will continue to be made slowly and individually. But I couldn’t wait to share the new name and the logo that brings it all together.

If you were already following Cosy Canine Creations, you don’t need to do anything. You’re already in the right place.

Welcome to **SeaSage Creations**. More is coming.

What do you think? Do you like the new concept?
