Home from Wesley clover the parks 2.
Sometimes it’s not about the ribbons your winning (although there was plenty of those too)
But the goals you set and reach during the year.
So here are a few goal highlights.
Linus sr:
On only his second show off property ever, Linus Jumped around the all weather ring in the 0.65m for the first time. happily completing 3 courses, he looked like a seasoned pro already.
Just Jack has officially graduated to the 2’9 division and even Ribboned on the flat in good company. He has a bright future ahead of him.
Coppers honour:
First time at 2’6. Made the lines easily and tried out the medal with a win!
Zedaumier:
After only 2 shows together this young pair Moved up to 2’3 without adding in the lines!
City of lights
Continued with a top 3 placing in the jumper medal and even tried out a 0.9m class!
Miratariets crown
Brushed off the rust for their first show of the season and hasn’t missed a beat. Pinning in all 3 adult 2’6 classes this horse is truly becoming a seasoned packer.
North quay
Made it to her first big show to experience the competition life.
Not only did she handle the busy warm up ring of ponies, she learned allot about trailering, stabling and all the other parts that go with being a show horse.
And the trillium season wouldn’t be complete without Mkhaya making her final debut in the A equitation before she’s officially an adult.
With no preparation, and maybe a little luck 😉 she finished with a 5th in her career ending class.
Sometimes its about making sure riders and horses are fully prepared and not over faced. Small steps to the larger goal is the faster way to get there.
Many many thanks to Jess for always looking after the home farm while we are away. Knowing the horses are in excellent care allows us all to focus on the special moments that build these dreams.
