🐾 Kennel Cough Season Is Approaching! 🐾

With kennel cough season just around the corner, we want to take a moment to remind everyone how important it is to help keep our daycare community healthy! ❤️

Kennel cough can spread quickly between dogs, especially in places where pups spend time together. We kindly ask that if your dog is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please keep them home and away from daycare and other dogs for at least 2 weeks after their symptoms have completely cleared:

• 🫁 Dry, hacking cough — often becoming worse after exercise, excitement, or when pressure is put on the neck
• 🤢 Gagging or retching — some dogs may cough up a small amount of white, frothy mucus or act like they are trying to clear their throat
• 🤧 Sneezing and/or runny nose — mild nasal or eye discharge can also occur

Even if your pup otherwise seems happy and energetic, they can still spread respiratory illness to other dogs.

We know it’s never fun to miss daycare, but keeping symptomatic pups home helps protect all of our daycare friends, especially those who may be more vulnerable to illness. 🐶❤️

When in doubt, please give us a call before bringing your pup in!
