Have you seen our signs at the Beaumont Off-Leash Dog Park? This is because we are a Beaumont Dog Park Sponsor. Part of our role includes ensuring the park is always stocked with p**p bags!
Why? Because easily accessible bags encourages park visitors to clean up after their pets in order to minimize the risks of parasite contamination. Minimizing this risk helps protects both human and animal health.
How does parasite contamination happen?
- Dogs walk, run and play in areas where f***s is (or has been) present
- Dogs groom themselves by licking their feet or lick and sniff the ground
- Intestinal parasites are transmitted when dogs ingest these f***l particles
- Dogs then bring these parasites home and contaminate our own yards and walking paths
Cleaning up after our pets is important for keeping our pets and our pet community as a whole healthy. Intestinal deworming should also be done regularly - talk to your veterinarian about your pet’s lifestyle and risk factors at your next visit!
